Hey Mr Armpit,
Nobody becomes a good person or a considerate person overnight unless you are born a saint. It is great that you do feel a nagging doubt over what you have done and by querying about your actions, you are self reflecting - already it is more than what many self absorbed people would have done.
You are only 14 now but that's what building a life is all about. Slowly slowly we accummulate our life's lessons - so that by the time we are 30, 40, 50 - we can learn to be honest to ourselves about what we are, and what we should do.
This honesty to self is more important than simply 'doing good' or 'being nice' because sometimes the motivation for being a nice person may not be 'good' at all

if you don't truly understand yourself. That is why i say don't 'justify' your actions by someone else's behaviour. First understand your own.
A gentleman who only 'act' but dont understand WHY he is doing only an empty shell

You should never be someone you are not.
