so it's a difference in culture and also generation they were brought up in. i mean, even in singapore nowadays, younger parents allow their kids to do whatever course they want unlike us when our choices were more limited. -

ok, saying all these, it's not really a point that u can't take hardship or have not seen enough, it's the other way round where u've seen more and decide to wonder if u've been on the right path or not.
u can actually suck it up and move on, it's also perfectly fine. but to say u're not being appreciative of what you have now is not exactly the situation here, based on what i noe and also other examples from my acquaintances.
i have even seen a few examples of poly year 3's drop out with half a year to go to pursue another course or start a career. it's a changing mindset. -

Benefits of Degree,
- Provides credibility in ur work in future
- Easy access to higher management work
- Avoid being an assistant for 5 -6 years to get promoted
- Acquired the knowledge you need for the industry.
- Networking and know more friends (Peers' parents might be a rich man, go and know him and his family better)

I personally choose 1 and half year degree program in SIM. My objective jus wanna get it done and get over it. i am in my last semester now. overall cost is $18k, which i think is worth it. Will be 23 graduate frm UNiversity. If you are a gal, you have a better advantage than the guys. Why complain so much? Parent gif you $, still complain. Jus do your best to score and assure them every cent they paid is worth it. TS's immatureness is getting my nerves. GROW UP lah!
Without a degree in SINGAPORE, u can always stuck at a pay at $1600+
Unless you wanna start up a biz, you also need capital and skills. Do you have it ornt? If Dun have, please s hut up! -

ive NEVER EVER in my WHOLE LIFE gotten ANY allowance from them.
and they have never allowed me to work until recently.
oh right, and it feels great to live with a parent who reminds u just about every day how much u owe them in life. and nags at me all day to find a job. but everytime i find one, it's either 'too far away' 'i dont like the location' 'no that's not a good job' etc. so up till now, i still dont have a job and YES i need her approval because im still living with her. and if i had paid for rez, i wont have enough for school fees next year. and anyways, my money from my summer job...guess where it is -

2. i dont give a fuck about $$$$$$.
3. sure i need a degree. but a college one is what i prefer as compared to a uni one.
4. my networks are so great u wont believe it. to the point where i can travel to pretty much anywhere and have some place to stay for free.
5. what money do my parents give me?? and whatever they are paying for now, i have to pay them back.
6. i dont live in singapore and wont work there
7. i can easily get $1700+ a month (let's not look at the tax issue) without completion of high school. -

lol aiya want to study uni can study part time ma...study at night lor....or choose something like acca also at night. Then you can work during the day. Young pple should spend day and night time in meaningful ways as they have lots of energies. -
she no mood to study force her also no use right? If the results end up bad, she might start to have low self esteem as well. You live life only once, should live to the fullest lor.
