You’re in an exhausting position and it sucks big time. Me thinks half the time, kids with cheating parents wind up in casual relationships for the most part of their adulthood. Fast forward 10 or 20 years, we scratch our heads and wonder why we’re screwed up, then wonder what went wrong when our parents were faulty specimens to begin with – such is life.
Don’t let the task of savaging their marriage fall upon your shoulders – it’s not possible for anyone outside of it to understand the whys and hows of their relationship.
Writing your dad a letter sounds like a neat idea - let it all out but go easy on the swear words. Continue being a friend to your mom, listen to what she wants to say but please know that the task of savaging their marriage is not on your shoulders.
ItÂ’s not your shoulder because no one else can fully understand your dad and mom - no one knows what brought them together in the first place and besides, adults are complex, what with their need for desire, affection, bond, thrill, familiarity (as if itÂ’s all supposed to mean something so important)
Just be a good listener and keep the faith.

i suppose everyone has to prepare for the worst as a precaution i guess ... not saying that it's 100% die, have hope. since we already established the fact that adults are confusing, who knows they might work it out, after all we hardly understand their workings.
time to build up financial reserves, esp 4 your mum -
i agree with jojo..if u are not aware, then u have an excuse to remain ignorant. but now that u know of the situation, u should start taking action for the sake of your family, for your own future. do u really want to sit back and watch your family fall to pieces?

Talking to her parent about it may or may not impact the outcome of her parent's marriage. Since this situation is a long time in the making.
Both parents may have already drifted apart long time ago.
At this instance, the children may have questions that need to be answered.
When left unanswered, resentments, anger, and desolation will set in.
