Is it alright for teachers to take video on students?

Is it alright for teachers to take video/pictures of students when they are misbehaving as an evidence for the principal/vice principal to view? Is it appororiate for students having exams to be flimed by a teacher who goes up to individuals to take their video of misbehaviour like sleeping/talking/shouting??
I felt that this is actually a invading our privacy and distracts students, however this issue was done in my school and I am pretty pissed by their actions.
What can we do?

personally i dont like this idea
like stomp like that knn....
i will break his/her video camera if the tcher do this to me
maybe you all can gather signatures and show to the principal, add in your stands why you all think it's inappropriate

HAHAHA.. teacher is old and she teaches crap.. can teach CL by how she treat her maid, students look like hooker, vuglarites and stuff.. the only thing we learnt is self praise =.- i thinking of hacking blogs of people that really pissing me off.. XD piss them through there XD

They wan to video...video lor. I dont do any illegal stuff they got nothing against me. Yes, it's invading student privacy. But nomatter where we go we are being watched anyway. Theres a camera watching you at every corner of every mrt station. On the roads got camera checking if you are wearing seat belts. Many many more examples... too numerous to even count...
As long as you dont do anything naughty than they cant do a thing. Let those losers waste their efforts and time. :P

why should be be sleeping in the first place ? ... do nothing wrong, need not be pek chek ... sleeping in class ? ... and you buay song because you get caught in the act ? ....
you know the police all over the world video tape rioters on the streets so they can catch them afterwards ? ...
the TS need to grow up ...

If for minor stuffs like talking, shouting.... the teacher also want to video it down, i dont know what to say man. Maybe he/she is not qualified to be a teacher in the first place. He/she cant even handle issues like that and gotta rely on video camera.

dont know leh.. nowadays like every single thing not happy with teacher get siggy frm students and parents..
eg.
not happy with maths teacher way of teaching go get siggy to sign to sack the teacher.
not happy with eng teacher scold u stupid get signature from parent

That one I dont agree already. I mean one cannot suka suka not happy then get parents to back you up, especially when one is in the wrong in the first place.
Worst is, the parents side with the student who is in the wrong at the beginning. -

last time in sec sch got guys played basketball after class in the hot sun. some boys were running around shirtless and the female discipline mistress announced during next day morning assembly that no boys allowed to run around half naked at the basketball court if not she will strip them. slut. up tilll now still unmarried.

in conclusion, i still think video-ing ple like that is not ok, minor stuffs like talking in class, no need to video la. For fighting all these etc, video it.. but of course stop the fight too dont stand there stupidly video-ing everything
