Why we need a degree?

If you don't want to go Uni and want to earn more, go venture out yourself, think of how you can employ people to work for you.
But i tell you, no matter what, you still need to learn and read a lot yourself. If you want to be rich, you either earn through investments or businesses. To me both are the same.
My dad has a business owner friend without any degree, i think O levels only. Have an engineering company. Sometimes talk very sarcasticly to his employees all degree holders when they make stupid mistakes, 'you have a degree, but why are you not richer than me?'. They all diam diam haha... But he is a very nice guy. :D He is just joking, but thats makes a lot of sense to me.

Luckily nobody talk about bill gates dropping out of harvard and not having a degree.
Cos Bill Gates already have many honorary doctorate (phD) from many unis, including the one given to him by Harvard Uni in 2007.
He is a multiple phD holders and he didnt even need to study much for it.

if there's anybody who dun wanna get a degree for the seek of working..
than why don't consider doing their own business or find other means of survival skills?
at least i dun think i'll take degree..for the next few yrs..since i got my method to earn money..

actually i'm quite lazy to study......lol
now i just wondering whether its worth the money anot, for a degree.........
cos nowadays like alot of degree holder, got degree pay also not that high......

its a norm already.degree holders are every where.
So what stands out and differentiate between degree holders are other aspects,EQ,communicating skills,social skills

got degree = maybe i can feed urself and maybe start a family no degree = tan si

All computer science branched from his company.

Nobody can force u to do anything u dun like. If you dun like it, just quit. When u have it, u dun treasure it. When u dun have it, u complain abt the lack of opportunities. Be grateful u have a chance to go into Uni. There're tons of FT out there waiting to get into our local Uni on scholarships.

Why?? because you got myopia, go see an optrician, heshe can determine you degrees of both eyes. You need to wear spectacles if you cannot see properly, otherwise how to study, earn a living and make more money? -

There is absolutely no reason to get a degree...
Degree are just protection money to this society... U pay it for a hope for an easier and peaceful life... if u dont pay it, be prepared to be swallow by these ruthless world...

But to start a business need start up funds. No initial capital how to get a business going. Okilah, I'm assuming you are talking about bricks and mortar business. Not internet. But even internet business still need some money like getting somebody to design a website for you right? -
Seriously, I studied for a degree and I'm not even putting it to use in my job.
But I'm glad for the friends I've met.

Like many ppl here say, its a backup plan, incase your business fails, at least u can be an employee.
If you have a rich dad, then its ok to come out and venture and still have finanial backing if u were to fail, but then if u have such a dad, then u shldnt worry abt wasting money on a degree right?
If ur wife is have degree, and u do nt, you feel xia suay ornot?.

degree is the key to managerial lvl ~ applicable for most companies..
unless you met a boss who don't give so much emphasis on qualifications =D

find cheaper sch lor..but still recognize lor.. -
You dont need a degree if you are a sales person. If you are really good at sales, you wont bother moving to managerial role unless you want to slack. As long as you keep doing sales, your commission will snowball and eventually you earn a lot every month.
