When you have your own children in the near future OR those who already have, your parents become your children's grandparents.
With NO intentions of employing a maid / perhaps childcare centre, you and your wife/hushand leave your children to be taken care of by your parents.
This is a sure situation bound to happen.
Will you let your parents bring up your children the same way they brought you up, or use your own parenthood methods? -
A compromise between the two.
Kids will be there most of the times during weekdays.
More or less, my own parents will teach them when they do wrong etc, in their own way, and will tend to teach them the way they feel is right.
But that doesn't mean I will lose the right to teach my own kid my way as well; ironically, my kid is being brought up in a combination of grandparent and parent methods.

its the responsibility of the parents. Many grandparents don't teach, they spoil.

Cause when they are old they need someone or something to do wat .

misty is absolutely correct, grandparents spoil grandkids and at the end of the day, it's the parents who'll have to clean the shit.....
as for taking care of grandkids, i hope not to, just have them around on occassion or take them to outings, after that, dump them back to the parents and i don't wish to live with them too....

me hv no prob wif lettin my parents bring my kids up.
my parents got integrity, morals & are thrifty, civic-minded & dwn to earth.
but they 4got to teech me to be money-faced; luckily, me smart - learnt dat on my own.

if i got kids, i dun see anything wrong with letting my parents teach them.
if time permits, i will even let my grandma teach.

my MIL has her grandkids live in my house and taking over the parenting for the past few months already.

I do agree that it is a compromise.
however, there are times, when I feel that whatever they are sharing is not line with what I want and I will share and discuss and basically they have to stop.
so in the end, I felt it is still my responsibility as a parent of what my child is taught.

We all know you can't have children the natural way since you don't have a womb. Do some good and have mercy on the orphans. Don't adopt them. They fare better staying in the orphanage than with you. -
