Seems like you are not really overweight......or just a little slightly plump and it is not something people will notice outright......
So I think you shouldnt be too low-confident in yourself......
What I mean is......unless if someone have a deformity......or severe ugliness......actually for the most part, the majority of people are also somewhat like you......can be "unattractive" in some ways.....including me, you, your neighbour, your cousin boyfriend aunty, etc. Everyone is imperfect. But everyone can pass unnoticed. So dont be too self-conscious even if you are around people who are more good-looking. Because those people wont look at you with some strange look or think you are alien. Actually most people have insecurities and flaws in certain areas. Flaw is common and abundant in society. So just go around with normalcy and talk as usual.
Not to say you shouldnt diet.......I support you to diet....but remember dont put too much emphasis or attach self-worth into it.
I know how you feel ts.I had the same problem, but because I was (and still am) underweight. My classmates of this year were a bunch of assholes. They keep making shit jokes about me being thin. But of course I too insulted them as they were trying to hurt me. I am doing my best to gain weight now. What I did about those assholes was, I simply ignored them! At the end of the semester (this was sec 2, the streaming year), most of them were sad, as they did not get the subjects they opted for. So just focus on what makes you happy. What the others posted about losing weight seems like good advice.
