maybe we do want someone who would understand us. Not necessarily a bf/gf but someone significant and will be there constantly for us, which makes bf/gf the easiest and best candidates.
The problem is, no one perosn can ever be constantly there for another.

What's that?
I'm of the opinion we cannot depend on one single source to fulfil all aspects of our lives, it leads to disappointment and perhaps loneliness.
Fwah now still awake ah? No need sleep ah?

Hmm, thts why dont put all ur eggs in one basket, and thts why affairs occur.
I've had feelings of loneliness before and strong desires for a NormaL rational companion but i never had that emptiness feeling described.. I think emptiness has more to do with the direction you give yourself that has to do with your values
I have this emptiness inside my head, that is i don't seem to have any good memories to reminisce or that it's painful to think about the past...yep like regrets or wishing to go back to the past and do things better...

That is why friends and family members are also important other than spouse or partner.Self time too.

Can you be constantly there for another?
If you can constantly be there for a number of people you will not be empty.
But you expect other people to be there for you, and that didn't happen.

Yet, there are times when you still feel overwhelmed by a sense of emptiness in your heart. It is a feeling as if you are incomplete but you don't know why and how to fill up that part of your heart. And it is during times like this that you feel that you seem to be all alone.
Anyone ever experienced the above?
Yes, that gap in your heart which gave you a constant sense of emptiness is your own faith towards your life.
The lack of purpose in our lives is the main reason for that gap of emptiness to exist in our hearts.
We will repeatedly and subconsciously question ourselves if what we're doing right now is fulfilling our ultimate purpose here during our lifetime.
I have filled that gap of emptiness with religion, you can do the same thing too. Ultimately we all need to seek guidance and live to serve our lives with a greater purpose.
I hope everyone can also fill up that gap of emptiness inside their hearts and see that their world can be a better place for the sake of all their loved ones. ![]()

Hi Parn.
Your post makes me feel warm and a little touched.
I am happy for you that you are leading a fulfilling life. I do have a purpose in life but there are times when I look back and ask myself if the sacrifices I made are really worthwhile in the end. I agres that the journey is more impt than the destination but then again, I can't help myself if my faith on my purpose is wavered at times.
