I 'm having some serious sleeping issues, unable to sleep till say 4 or 5 am every night. compounded by the fact that i wake up early in the mornings (7 am), i end up becoming so so tired in the afternoon i end up napping no matter how hard i try not to, and the cycle goes on and on and on again
Any advice to help me get my Biological clock back on track?? Or should i start to take sleeping pills? are sleeping pills good in the first place? TY for ur advice

I encounter this problem once.. twice.. many times..
Once, I keep myself awake for the whole day thinking that at least by the next day NIGHT time, I'll be able to sleep at least before 12am or slightly after 12am. It works for certain people.
However, it doesn't work for me. I was still VERY energetic after 12am even after running in the day and I sleep at 3+ 4am. Only SLIGHTLY earlier than usual timings.

Read a boring book - a book that you will never read or find it interesting.
Watch a boring movie
Phone and chat with a boring friend
Do all these 2 hours before your ideal sleeping time.
Or drink a beer - Not Root/Ginger Beer, or drink wine....drink until you unconscious also can
Or just simply lie down on the bed 2 hours earlier and put on some music or radio, make sure your lights are off and your surroundings are quiet.
Or simply lock your door and sleep naked. ![]()
You should see your physician. He would probably give you a better solution than all of us put together.

try NOT taking a nap. like seriously go do something fun with your friends when you reach home. i get this problem on sunday nights, i wont sleep until 5am then wake up a 7am and then chiong to work. fcuking xiong, but then just endure the fatique for the rest of the day and then go to bed at 9pm =)

Yea i have tried quite afew of the above suggested: not napping for an entire day STILL sleep at 4 - 5am next night, read book or watch movie till 4 am, get up to do more work still sleep at 4 am plus. I have no idea why i'm so energetic at night
I'm going to try physically exhausting myself plus no napping for the entire day and see how it goes for the next 2 days. I'm going to enjoy torturing the body that gave me no sleep for the past week ![]()
