when you know that a girl you really like already had a boyfriend, will you continue to woo her, hopefully that she may changed her heart.

Another scenario.. A girl you like very much and she confide in you that she is having some relationship problems. Instead of giving her support, you take the opportunity to win her over....

feelings are not cast in stone. when you do not take extreme or ungentlemenly steps to win a girl over, what's wrong with pursuing the one you think you love?
she may change her mind too one day. if you step aside and when the one she ends up with is not you, then your bad. why let up?
however, in reality, not everyone have a happy ending but i wouldn't let up just yet; but i cast my net wide. as the malay saying goes (literal translation), "flower not just one, bee also not just one."
