Love and hate are both a form of feelings, they are intense emotions, they stem from sentiments.
Indifference is detachment, dispassion without interest, concern and sympathy. Feelings become non living.

it's been so long...yet I still can't seem to get over him..
sometimes I feel better..but after awhile, the sad feeling comes back again..
it seems like a vicious cycle
Recovering from a break up is a process, usually classified into denial, depression, anger, acceptance and for some, indifference.
Denial - Your relationship has fallen apart. Your partner leaves you and you harbour thoughts of reunion. You make excuses for the breakdown and think he is coming back.
Depression - 2 months later, he's still gone from your life and you realise he is not coming back. This is the stage where you should start getting out and exercising to release pent up feelings. And begin the healing process.
Anger - Is the final stage. You'll start wondering what you saw in him to begin with and start hating him for wasting your time going through the pain. You recall the bad moments in your failed relationship and start blaming yourself and maybe your partner. This is also the stage when you start throwing away pictures, notes and messages.
Acceptance - You stop reading his horoscope. You start appreciating the good from what you guys had, smile at old memories and you're happy when you hear he has found someone new. You stop caring whether or not he comes back.
Chin up and you'll be fine. When one door closes, another one opens.

Yes, opposite of love is hate.
But have you reached the other side of the opposite yet?
If you have not, or you have not enough reasons to bring you to the other side of the opposite. Then you of course don't feel hate or love or even indifference. ![]()
love is pain...
and pain will always remain painful if you think about it...it makes you wished you never fell in love...or rather you'd wish the person who made you fall in love could do something to clear the pain...unless he is the pain...

i thought the opposite of love was apathy...since love and hate are both quite similar in nature...

I guess love and hate are both quite invisibly intense in their nature.
Don't be surprise to fall for your most hated person when they did something really out of this world for you...out of love.
That's what happens when people's minds get messed up. People are always looking for avenues to forgive one another, but when the hatred becomes so intense unknowingly and they have found a good reason to forgive the person whom they have hated, those loving feelings of forgiveness + the intense ferocity nature of the previous hatred........creates love.
Amazing isn't it? ![]()
