People normally show their true colors after a few months.
Real friendships are the ones which are based on long-term bond building. It's also based on understanding each other.
There are some who leak their awful personalities after a few months of playing nice and that's when you know that it's time to let go of these friends.
However, there are also people who are really sincere friends - these are the people who may sometimes have conflicting personalities with you - but because of long-term bond building, you have come to understand and accept them.
Anyone ever lost a friend to his or her partner, who requested that your friend cease contact with you because your friend's partner doesn't like you?

The beautiful things about true friends. They don't need you to facebook or MSN Messenger them when you already see each other several hours a day. There maybe no contact for months cos you are both pursuing your own lives.Yet when you finally meet up, you can pick up where you left off like you only saw each other the previous day :)
