Greetings all,
I am in my early twenties, and I'm currently studying in a business school at a local polytechnic. but yet I'm still playing computer games non-stop everyday and I feel the strong urge to play as I have always been for the past 10 years plus. I know it's ruining my life and I'm fighting hard to keep away the addiction but still it's keep on tempting me. As a result my youth, studies and teenage life has been pretty much in shambles. Any suggestions on how to fight the addiction?
get urself a fuckin' slow comp that cant support most games.
i suggest you go for hypnosis therapy.
give away all your comp games lor.

Get a lock to lock your computer. Give the key to your parents/siblings and ask them not to give it back to you unless you need the computer for school work.
Go and seek some professional help. See a social worker or a councilor, especially one that specialises in fighting computer addiction.
Im getting rid of my computer game addiction too! This time confirm sucess!

Delete/Sell away all your game accounts along with the game discs
Uninstall all your games
Study somewhere where you do not have access to the pc
Alternatively, surrender your mouse and Keyboard to your parents who will return you after you complete yr studies :P

Not true. When I booked out during weekends in the past, I would go to Beach Road on Saturday before going home to wash my clothes, and I will devote myself to Maplestory on Sunday.
I only stopped Maplestory when it got corrupted during a patch, and I couldn't play it again even after reinstalling it.
uhh. what games are they? If they're like WOW or DOTA, then yes, i can understand its adictive.
I actually took up eating, -which btw is quite unhealthy, but very comforting. I found that it helped me relieve the gaming addiction back then.
But now, its wearing off, im addicted to reading up forums and news XD ahahahaha! and thats a diff thing...
All the best TS!

chey. so on forum was u !.
oh ya. ts
the fact that u are somewhat able to survive in poly maybe means ur addiction isnt too strong yet. besides for the past 10years includes O lvl right. so at least you can get in poly despite ur addiction. so maybe it isnt much of a addiction.
Usually, guys are the ones addicted to computer gaming. Strange. Why aren't girls addicted?

TS you should work for a gaming company, where working is playing games. You can play while working for 9 hours a day, even clock in OT for playing games
. I am sure when you finish work, you wont come home to play gaming.

There are girls who are addicted to gaming.
Just that they are much lesser as compared to guys.

That is what I means. Even though girls and guys are introduced to the computers at the same age, guys just naturally prefer computers over girls. More guys than girls, in term of ratios.
wtf?
