I also found out while in UK, even the entire economic seats are varying in prices and constraints. Need to ask around. Some times, airline decided to free up ticket, then good value for $$$.

Where else do you intend to visit? As for internet, some place do have excess but must pay.. Do you Intent to watch any soccer match while in UK? Its very hard to get ticket for Manchester match unless you go black market.. not cheap, will cause you a BOMB.. someting likfe few hundred dollars as they are popular, worse if it is against another popular team, say Arsenal.... prices will rocket.
You may want to try book their local tour, only setback, need to cross English Channel.. I hate it cause the coach will also have to go pick up people from other location prior to departing... lots of time wasted on the 1st day, but I think its worth it afterall, depends on where you choose to go.
