I heard that schools would most probably give these sort of students a second chance via re-examination or straight promote (close one eye)

People were telling me that it is okay to retain another year in the JC. Another commented that i should go to a polytechnic.
I am worried, scared and dumbfounded now. I am not sure of my future. I don't wanna get retained. My class is the bottom few classes in the cohort and if i retain, i will get to see most of my peers again. lol
What should i do now?

Being hardworking is not equal to surely being able to cope. Some people have problems coping with the workload of JC and cannot do well in that type of environment.
