Send an official email to the school and cc to MOE...when they see that they'll take you more seriously...By the way...you better have solid proof about your daughter's innocence..if not later backfire then you noe...
By the way...you can't protect your daughter all her life...it'll be better to teach her to stand up for herself and solve her own problems...she can't always come running to you whenever she meets with a setback you know...
At the most you send her for kung fu lessons only lor

Write in directly to the Minister for Education. When something happens like this, schools just want to cover up the matter.
By writing to MOE, they will sent someone down to the school to investigate the incident.

Please take the blog comments and use it against them. But my suggestion is for a matured person, don't take the matter too far and ruin a child's future. Most religions preach forgiveness and patience, and I guess they all said those same thing for some good reasons. Maybe you should do something but not to the extend of really hurting anyone. An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind. Plus, it's always a nice feeling to know that you actually have managed to forgive someone else who don't or might not deserves it.

I believe its just their way of greeting, by taping. Anyway bring this up to the principal. If you can debate here, i dont see why you cant debate with the principal. Tell your girl not to be afraid and show more concern for her.
Anyway stop gaying with the DM seriously. principal or to Moe straight

Sometimes a higher power helps. Just like last time got one case, the teacher beat the girl hand, then the parent go complain to moe, in the end the teacher resigned. However bullying is a different case, i guess TS knows what she should do.

i've seen people run up to their "friends" and slap them hard on the arm in way of "greeting" and it's not one-off...
from the sound of the slap, it would hurt like hell...
gets back to this: the mom didn't even know about this? and if she did, didn't discipline the child?
most, if not all of the disciplinary problems of children, stem from bad parenting..
and for those who are older, remember when the school punished you, and your parents got to know about it, punished you a second time?

Educate the DM on the differences between violence and greetings.
There are no such school rules as “No playing truth or dare” Or “No Kissing”. Kissing is an act that requires of 2 willing parties. Your daughter is wrongfully punished unless she is a fat and ugly girl that forced herself on that poor guy.
Slapping the girl because your daughter kissed her brother? Kids nowadays use excuses from Korean dramas. The aggressor is probably is xiaoxi and her brother is jianyou.

How hard is the slap anyway ? one big show palm to the back leading to internal injury ? does it even deserve violence like a slap on the face ?

While I'm just a third party reading wat TS had said, I do not know what actually happened. A parent naturally wants to protect her child, the child naturally wants to protect herself or perhaps even "get back" at the other classmate, etc. Naturally, individuals' stories may not be free from bias-ness.
However I would be against blowing up the matter to MOE.
It's through these small cases that further tightens the already tied hands of school discipline.

Its your child so she means the world to you but... have some perspective.
Its just a small incident of 2 young girls having a silly teenager hormonally fuelled girl fight - if every parent who read of their kid being called names onlinem complain to school and MOE, waa.. MOE would need to establish a complain bureau instead of focusing on actually planning an education.
And while I am not condoning the slapping, there might be a reason why your daughter did not demo the 'tapping' to DM. It doesn't need to be painful tapping to be irritating - if someone keeps tapping me non stop just to get my attention, I'll be pissed too.
Point is to teach your girl to be above the bullying - instead of teaching her how to bully back.
