forming a band takes a lot of commitment from every member, needs a reasonable amount of talent and hard work... u need to invest in equipment for example for a drummer, u need ur own snare, crashes, rides and hi hats... easily cost up to 3-4K and for guitarists, all the sound effect pedals, amps and guitar can easily chalk up 2-3K again bassist and keyboardist hmm... all in all u need about 10K at least to turn more or less semi pro... (that's when u really wanna fulfill ur dream) if not then u can jam at studios all ur life and nothing's gonna happen... singapore has lots of talents, lots of good musicians out there, but we're not really world class... talk abt world class, it's really a long long way to go dude... hehe...

there is a great price to pay ! and dun think that fame is everything. you'll be surprised that life isn't as wonderous as you imagine it to be in the shoes of a star. -

Local bands like Krueger play to clubbing crowds as resident bands every week...and they are well liked by the clubbing community... -

dun care about what others say, work hard and get onto that stage and do ur songs and then you can say to those who say you suck "I suck? ok, at least i am on stage, you are down there. And since I suck, what are you then?"
I am in a band myself, you have to toil if you really got passion...and i can tell you, passion is much more important and crucial than the desire to become famous. I dun desire to be famous, everytime i get onto the stage with my band, i feel so good, i feel that i accomplished something for myself. No one gets ir right the first time, those 'Avril Lavigne' s who get it right the first time becos they are manufactured. Look at those big bands around, seriously, how many got it right the first time? No doubt took 10yrs. Creed took 2 albums. Nirvana took yrs of playing pubs. So try and try again until u succeed. And if u dun, u noe that u tried. -

idealists are not suitable to be artistes... cause u can only capture the support of a certain number of the population... some will luv u, some simply hate u... and some are neutral...

forming a band can get u more friends... once in a band before just for recreation... started out a keyboardist, after 2 years became a drummer... and learned guitar and bass as well... nice to mix around and learn lots of stuff... if u feel content, then it will be good enough...
