Why do you say you "finally" caught him? You mean you speculating it and you finally found the evidence? or you got rumours from someone else?
Whatever it is, it's agonising! I can understand.
He's not worth anything from you. I feel that there's no point even confronting him about his actions and hearing his lame excuses. What's written in the email is self-explanatory enough, moreover, it's from he, himself.
Most importantly, he has betrayed your trust. That's enough to end the show.
