Your example above is based on an assumption that couples will quarrel over finance. When understanding, empathy, the desire to improve and make life better isn't there - most probably love is a weak one.
People get married for all kind of reasons and huge percentage of live case study you mentioned above account for shot-gun marriage in which the young couples ain't financally stable and mentally/emotionally prepared to handle a marriage. Of course when a house is built with sticks - a simple breeze would be so damaging.

No use in the practical world? This drive creates motivation.
Motivation to carry out working although your job sucks like hell, Motivation to work, motivation in trying to perform your best and hope you will be recongized and in turn have better pay/position/etc.
How does have tons of money create motivation and drive to find love? All you can get is cheap sex around, but you will never find a true soul. People come to you because you are rich and not because you are a good person to be with - you attract people from the category of gold-digger to b|tches to false friends.
You think life would be better then?
It may be cool - but at the end of the day when you grew really old, you will look back and discover that you have achieve nothing in the end cause you are still alone deep in your heart.

Money may be worldly possessions in your opinion, but to gals?it may mean everything.Gals are nt stupid.
Maybe due to a failed relationship recently thats y i am so pessismistic.

Well, material craving of woman is like sexual lust to a man and like before; not everyone is like that. There are woman who doesn't look too much into the material side of this world, and man who doesn't let lust overpower them.
