if anything, unless invited, they have no right to interfere with the relationship or love life of their child...

When such scenarios happens - either you let this kills you or you rise to the occasion and prove them wrong. Since its only a relationship now and yet a marriage - you have ample time to work on yourself and improve. The more people point fingers at you - the more you could stand up and slap their comments back at them. (Provided if this is a serious and real relationship and you desire to go long term with him/her. If its a fling - think no need to go that extra round.)

when you are wed, your commitment is to your partner, and your partner's commitment is to you... the parents must know better and must let go...
it is hard that parents do not do this and hang on... it has caused many breakups, heartaches and trauma...

well the thing is that her parents are so money minded... her previous bf has got a car.... well i don't... her parents kept comparing me with him... they really looked down on me manz....
they even call my gf a slut..... saying dat she's blind in chosing me... despite all the insults, i still take care of her family. well i'm not earning much, but i still buy stuffs for her family occasionally....even gave her money to bring her mom to the doc when she's unwell. i'm not born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but wat i have..... i give....... -

actually, i've been in this situation 4 quite sometime.... at times i have to admit that i really wish that her parents would just disappear.... leave the 2 of us alone... but i realised that no matter wat, its still her parents.... and as a daughter, like it or not, she still has to take care of them.... i just have 2 endure this treatment i'm recieving from them...

Important thing is to resolve the parents issue. Definately need to build their trusts in you. If not, your partner will be put in a very difficult situation.
