Whatever you have learnt while working will be an experience for the outside world
The SAF nowadays is like working outside.
Calling an officer younger than you 'Sir'? Well, it happens outside.
Working when boss is looking, twang when he's not around? Happens outside.
Backstabbers? Outside have plenty.
Irresponsible people? Outside also have
Let's face it, people always say, working outside is better.
How much better? Sure, you work hard, u have the correct lobang, you'll earn heaps. But how many people can do that?
Sick of work? Resign? SAF you can't do that.
But if u keep getting sick of work and resigning. What kind of person are you? Job Hopper? Is that good?
Whatever things you learn in life, will never be a waste. What you choose to learn and apply, only YOU can do it.
Regarding the Airforce. Classified things, the outside world don't need to know. If you're really interested in aerospace, then after you ORD, you will MAKE THE EFFORT to stay in the aerospace industry. The knowledge in the Air Force, be it Air Frame / Engine, Radar / Communication, will help you when you start your new job. that's IF you get a job in the aerospace industry. If not, take what you learnt, the people skills and your degree (assuming you UPGRADE yourself instead of wasting time in there) and get a job outside. Because compared to fresh grads, you'll know how to present yourself, and you know how to take care of yourself in your new company. Something grads nowadays don't know how to do
Can be our SAF job consultant in here... Hehhehheh...Originally posted by kopiosatu:you have to think far.
but don't ask that question and expect people to answer...
like right now, ppl ask 'is it worth it to sign on?'
what is worth it? money worth it? pride worth it?
what its worth only you will know...
so remember, before u ask people 'what do i do when i ORD?'
ask yourself 'what do i want to do when i ORD', a taxi driver? a tech in another company? starting your own business?
only you will know the answer to what you want to do in future.
people can give suggestions... only suggestions... not decisions.
all i can say is... follow where your heart takes you.
that's what i did.
that's all i can offer.Originally posted by Devil1976:Can be our SAF job consultant in here... Hehhehheh...![]()
