Dunno whether this question has been asked before.
Can someone still be friends even if they have broken up? I have heard many cases. However, I do wonder...don't the ex-lovers feel awkward, because how can still be firm friends when they were in love with each other before? (from love to friendship?)

still trying... but seems very awkward... seems like I asked her one question she answered... I don't say anything, she won't say anything. and she ended up saying a lot of thank you's... very qe ji about everything....sigh...

depends on situation lor.. if u are sporting enuff when meet each other on the streets , juz say a hello and i suppose ur opp will do the same.. my ex gf thoug hbreakup le, saw each other outside or in sch still will talk abit and catch up with each other lor..
but there are some which i nv talk or wad eva lor..
i suppose its depend on oneself..

What if your bf was the one who suggested but still want to be friends with u? Will u still siam him in streets? Haizz....think if can still be friends after broken relationship, it is already very fortunate liao. Think it depends on situations..and reasons why break. i ended a 1 year plus r/s.. i hope to get back together one day.. but it won't happen anytime soon.. he told me that he doesn't want to remain frens.. but he still contacts thru the net, for games or just to ask me some stuffs.. so i figured.. we could just start off as frens once again.. though it may be arkward.. but it's still worth a shot..Originally posted by Ric_Ong:Dunno whether this question has been asked before.

usually, staying firm frens after a breakup will happen when the decision to end the r/s is a mutual one.. not a one-sided decision..
friendship to love.. love to friendship... friendship to love again...
it's a cycle..

I think u shd focus on this sentence u posted 'He doesn't want to remain frens'.......even though u still want to be friends...he told u this. Have u ever wondered why he said this? If he sincerely willing to be friends, then it's great.
