Some guys do make mistakes. It is the same as girls. We are all human beings. i don't think so.. i think there was someone who brought up a good point. but there are plenty of guys out there.. i believe these are the true gems. the ones that will really care for the girl, devote his time, give up sat/sun night soccer matches for. but its damn sad to say that there are plenty girls out there who don't appreciate it.
HOWEVER!! in defense of the girls that are equally devoted and loving, the girls that claim to be burnt in love by these flashy guys, the girls that crave for this loyalty and would return the loyalty unconditionally, u gals rock.. but where are u? -
Well....i agree with you.... but seriously.... the reason why some guys are not faithful because they had been hurt too badly before and they find it hard to commit in relationships.( For me it's the case) Its a both way thing, must make effort one....... Its really damn sad that girls don't appreciate devoted guys.... perhaps it's true that some guys are meant to be bf, others as husband....which is totally unfair.....nothing is fair in the world..... I suppose one shouldn't ask about Faithfulness as a guage to measure a person's, but they should ask on how far will a person succumb to temptations and fall from grace.

P.s I like Yun's comments. He bothered to comment the difference between Social expectation of 'Faithfulness' and that made a whole thread very insightful.
A person could have faithfulness as a quality/character/lifestyle(?) but loses it the next moment.

i agree with farmer...true nowadays gals go for guys who looks flashy....suave, rich.... those normal looking ones, they won't bother to take another look.... wat a sad world huh... well if gals really wanna loyalty guys...would they choose decent looking guys? guess not...it's nature, looks is impt in the 1st place. who ever say looks doesnt count.... then after looks, they look for character.... wat to do, so i guess nowadays guys gotta buck up in looks too, dress more fashionably, dye the hair, wear accessories, well for wat.... hoping to get our gals to at least take notice in us.... sigh dunno wat to say man.... i still rem very tat time, a gal i chased, it seem she's giving me chance but then in the end she hiam my face got some pimples mark, say can these marks be removed? i say unless i go for laser treatment which is exp... then quietly juz faded away..oh man in fact it's not 1 gal, it's 2 gals who said tat to me....wat the hell man.... they wanna me to be their bf but then wanna me to remove those marks then can only accept me... so who says looks doesnt count...Originally posted by Farmer Brown:i don't think so.. i think there was someone who brought up a good point. If ev. body (apart from those who desire flashy, model-esque indivs) haf such high expectations:
"I wan a girl/guy who's 100% faithful, who is never tempted", then chances r, u'll end up wif Nothg.
Love sometimes is there, but r u willing to take a chance? Or r u gonna hold back, continue to be cynical & sez, "Wat material thgs does this girl wan from me?" OR "Will this girl cheat on me?"
Love is like life, it's abt taking chances & exploring. A broken heart in love is as much a risk as any stumble u take in life. But to me, the rewards far outweigh the risks : )

This is somethg I told my frens, inclg my guy (when we were juz best frens):
It's like looking in the shop window ev. day, @ a magnificent crystal sculpture which u wld love to own, yet u noe u'd never save up enuff to buy it.
1 day, somebody hands it to u. Suddenly, u're abt to own tt most precious thg u've always wanted. But u hesitate, the crystal sculpture is so beautiful yet so fragile. Wat if u accidentally break the crystal, & the beauty is shattered?
So do u decide to take the risk anywayz, cosh u'll take such gd care of tt crystal, u'll try ur best Not to break it, OR, do u refuse the crystal & wld prefer to admire it from afar? : )

both guys and gals are capable of commiting adultery. but there comes a time when both parties in a couple want to settle down and make a bgr permanently secure and sound. like a contract for the mutual benefit of both parties. their timing should coincide. -

But to be honest, I too get despondent @ times like ev. body else. The optimism wasn't there in juz 1 day. Thru heartaches, thru tears, thru alot of thinking, I learnt. And it's up to the indiv. really...
It's ez to sez, "That's it, I've had enuff. No more heartbreaks!" but u hafta think abt the happee times, & focus on tt. Juz take it as it comes, life is too short to remain cynical If u're single, live it up, enjoy urself, go out wif frens, haf a ball. If u're attached, then juz love ur partner & give him/her ur all.
I wldn't sez love is ez, since when has life been smooth? U juz hafta be determined to make the most of wat u haf : ) And tt's the secret to my happiness, Farmer Brown : )
