Not heartless ... just that girls are not easily satisfied sometimes ..
Some gals are kind enough to help the guys save their money..
But being a guy myself .. I find that guys will really spend a lot of money for something they like.
I belive intention should come first.
And ur guy have already showed his sincerity by buying u flowers...
There are at least > 1% of guys out there that do not even bothered to buy any stuffs for their gal ..
so wad u should do is perhaps know it now and never make this mistake next time. The next time round whatever he buys, accept it.
U can earn money back, but for a relationship, who knows -

awww.. poor guy. this reply is a little late, but who cares? haha anyway, first as most have commented, he wanted the flowers to like be delivered as a surprise, i mean IF he didn make it so obvious when he asked you for the address personally i would feel touched by that act, some guys are really sincere, yet they don really noe how to think, act and carry out when it comes to such things
your actions probably pushed him from the highest mountain to the deepest ocean ridge. he might have been thinkin how wonderful and romantic it is and how touch you will be but apparently.. NOT. so its 'understandable' that he feels lousy and of cos, hurt. i mean you can put urself in his shoe for an instant. although your intention was for him to save money...
(but what's with the 'if he gave me personally i would be very touched' thing.. shows that in fact, it isn the money that made you mad, it was the sincerity he portrayed)
the tone of how u put it may have caused the communication breakdown, and of cos, the straight rejection was rather harsh.
soo.. all in all.. apologise, make up to him, don try and make up with him and flares up at him when he 'wu dong yu zhong'.. cos remember you ARE the one trying to apologise to someone. -
