I dunno what is going on

Okie. I have a problem here..
I have this guy friend whom I have known for ard 6 years.
The frenship started when he wanted to know more abt me through my best friend on a christmas nite. His intention was very clear at that time, he had a crush on me and wish to further the r/s.
Things never really work out and everything was made clear by me.
So, we become normal friends like everyone else, but he also ever mentioned abt still having a liking for me after all these years which I didn't really care n bother abt it
Recently I changed my hp no. but I have lost all the no. in my contact including his. and these few nitez he has been calling my hse to look for me, just right I'm out of my hse and he does not have my current no.
My mum was kinda frustrated and actually tried to ask me avoid this guy cos she felt that he is kinda "threatening" to my present r/s as his intention is rather obvious after sometimes of communicating n meeting this friend of mine. And yesh my bf did feel the same way like my mum do.
So now the thing is I tried calling him up to check y he is looking for me, and ever wish to inform him again abt my new contact no. But my mum keep reminding me of not giving my no to him.
Haiz. What should I do?
Are they oversensitive? or am I not worrying what I should? -
if his intentions are honourable, as in just friendship, why not?
however, trust your own gut feelings.. if you think he's up to making moves on you which you do not welcome, you can just ignore him

I dunno this time rd what's he is up to looking for me so urgently.
Imagine 10 over times of fone calls in 2 hrs..
I wish to call him up and ask. But when I tot of what my mum said, I hesistated.
But when I dun call, I dun wanna give ppl the impression tat I dun treasure the frenship -
You should just call... 10 calls over a 2 hour period seems quite bad esp when he should know its your mom or auntie on the phone!!!
Call him asap, find out what did he want... tell him not to call your house again as your mom dislike phone calls.
As a caution, call him from a pay phone, if his intentions are true, give him your hp no. If not, tell him you lost your hp.
As a gesture, say you will call him to go out sometime since you lost your hp and are uncontactable.
From there, decide if you want to meet up with your friend. If not, say you forgot to call... or you're busy!

U may also want to contact that best friend of yours who got u two together in the first place and try to find out from her the situation, before u decide to initiate contact with him. -

Although there's nothing going between us, but my fren is one kinda sensitive person.

My feelings-> tells me he is still having a liking for me. Of all the nice little things he always do for me. that also lead to unhappiness of my bf. -> so become a barrier for me to go out with him ard with frenz etc
But when I call him back-> he dun wanna ans my call? why so funni de -

If that's the case, be careful. He may be stalking u.
But seriously, given that kind of scenario, it could be better if u go ask your best friend to deliver a strong message to him about not harassing u. Yes, being sensitive to your friend's feelings is noble, but not at the expense of u and ur family. Or if u have, any one who knows u and him and is discreet about the whole thing.
Worst come to worst, maybe ur bf can do some 'serious' persuasion' himself on your behalf.

Looks like he has yet to give up despite ur having made urself clear to him. Ur bf & ur mum haf the v. best of intentions, & I'm sure u can appreciate tt, No matter how ur bf trusts u, he will No doubt haf insecurities.
There r 2 choices u can make:
1. Take ur mum's & bf's advice & IGNORE the guy. Enlist the help of ur mum to tell him off if necessary.
2. Go ahead & contact the guy, but then drop the bombshell, "Hey, u noe wat, I'm v. v. VERY happily attached to my guy. So, NO other guys will stand a chance as long as I'm wif him."
