Hopefully with my poly grades 10A 16B 13C 1D from Singapore Poly, I can enter the local university.
i heard this kind of things happen too. maybe sp got more modules than np, the reason of why they were chosen.Originally posted by chio_bu:I still do not know the real reason behind why a diploma graduate with merit fron ngee ann poly could not complete with average B graduate from singapore poly.

im doing my final year and all i can say is that so far i know nothing ....

I am still waiting......Originally posted by chio_bu:Hi,
Any lucky guys or gals have received the acceptance letter from NTU or NUS if you have applied to the course?
Yup, Local universities will look at your 3 years of poly results and 'O' Levels before deciding whether to admit you.Originally posted by babo:wa, lst yr oso got counted ah? die la... i got no A or B. kaoz.
Universities accept poly students on a different front and chinese results can help boost ur entry if they are good and u decide to use them for consideration. (Base on the new system.)Originally posted by chio_bu:Yup, Local universities will look at your 3 years of poly results and 'O' Levels before deciding whether to admit you.
Are u currently a poly graduate or a final year student?
both oso not.Originally posted by chio_bu:Yup, Local universities will look at your 3 years of poly results and 'O' Levels before deciding whether to admit you.

Frankly speaking, my grades are only average B and I only try my luck to apply....Originally posted by crapz:the most important thing into getting into local u is ur poly results..frankly speaking i haven got any com holder friends who cant get into local u..unless u got r com holder or close, can forget abt applyin..
At least u got ur diploma and can get a job with a reasonable salary. Wat if jc students who cant get into uni, their A level cert is of no use to get a reasonable job.Originally posted by kindaichi83:I think local university look down on Polytechnic students. Don't even think of applying. I applied for it but I don't think I will get in because I heard that once you have a grade C or below in your results, you will not get in.
Don't ever pin your hopes on Singapore. The country has a struck up attitude and I can't wait to leave the place who not only wasted my time (2 and a half years) and look down on me just because I did not choose to go into a stupid JC.
