I'm also dunno want to accept the place or not. Was hoping to get into NUS science but I guess there is no hope since most of them have already got their interviews done and everything (all those JC students). Oh well...

I can say NTU really relaxed its admission system this year as it is really to take in more polytechnic graduates.
you are lucky that you get a place. but some of my former classmates who are foreigner and director's list (Top 10%) didn't get the letter by now. I guess for foreigner to get in to U, you still need to be merit holder. -

i was wondering did u received any letters from nus yet? cos my friend had received to study computing eng in nus (not his 1st choice) I think nus has limited place for ee. -

It seems really tough to get into the local Uni... Haiz... Not to mention with terrible Polytechnic results...
Had actually plan to apply next year...

ah...i saw this thingy "NUS is unable to consider you for admission due to limited vacancies. You will be considered should vacancies arise from 15 to 23 Jun 2004. " when i went online to check my application status. so what? means i no hope liao lah...

I am a poly grad from Life Sciences. Intending to apply local uni next yr (miss the application this yr coz thought going in ns, dun need apply so fast... haha). But then, dunno whether i shld enter local uni or overseas uni...
Local uni: Cheap, near home but take longer time
Overseas: Shorter time but exx and far away from home...
Anyone studied in life science found out that life science is not their kinda thing and wanna move into other fields??
