O, i meant to agree on shirurinu's point on a general basis that anyone in such a situation could be holding that mentality...i'm not saying that genie is indeed in that frame of mind. Just want to clarify myself, just in case i unknowingly offend genie here. -

I see no problem if there's instances of jealousy in r/s.
When u are in a r/s or even just being very close friends, u are actually giving all out for that some person and definitely u will expect the feelings to be reciprocated.
Out of so many people in the world, you actually picked that special someone. Isn't it rare and something to cherish?
I would not say it sprouted from one's sense of insecurity rather come from how much it means to oneself,

it can be a sign that u do care abt the other party..
however often wif sense of security, jealousy level will drop..
jealousy can add spices to a relationship...
but too high a jealousy level will create cracks in the relationship..

Well Genie, You can't say woman are jealous creatures.. but woman are likely more sensitive than male gender. I can understand why you will feel jealous, but I think you and your bf should sit down together and talk about the friendship with him and your friend. Get to understand the situation and work out something with him. IF you are not happy with him talking with your friend, voice it out, talk to him. But NEVER flare it out on him. He will end up hating u for it. If you talk nicely and let him know how you feel, he will respect that. Remember Temper is something that you can remove by losing it.

Ai ya... i think all tis v common lor... last time me n my bf (now ex..) also lik tat lor...
He ways very close to tis grp of gals lor... Treat them quite well... Then almost every nite meet up wif them chit chat till quite late than go home...
Got one time he went to one of the gal house... We usually talk at nite de lor... tat time happen tat i called him earlier see he want chat not... End up he not home, so call his hp lor... Told me he goin friend house... i casually ask him go whose... he dun want tell... then i pester liao lor... Finally told me is to one of the gal's house...
We quarrelled alot of times over him bein close wif other gals lor... But wat to do... No use so ma... end up quarrellin only... N both not happy... at most ren only lor!
I thought of somethin lor... If u really lik ur bf, then dun quarrel over tis kind of matter lor... Jealous is jealous la... Jus keep it under control lor... At least u bein sweet, understandin of him... He will feel u very understandin... n ur relationship not strain so lor! Be an angel, not a green eye monster...
I tried lor... jus keep quiet... Jealous in heart... Jus dun mention it, so won quarell lor...
