The limiting factor is the amount of HC buses and there's not a single thing they are doing about it, as far as I can see.   I don't know why people have the impression that B9TLs cannot be or is not likely to be operated by SMRT, I mean the government will be, or rather is now buying buses, it has already given some to Tower Transit, I certainly won't be surprised if SMRT operates B9TLs in the future, though it still depends on whether and how LTA allocates the buses. I mean if people know what the GCM entails, it should not be a surprise.

  Do see my reply at this thread as to why it's unlikely (but not impossible) for that to happen.

  Indeed...the SG-plated MANs all went to KJDEP/BUDEP and not AMDEP.

  805 will be using MAN NL323Fs that are from AMDEP (not SG-plated). Those SG-plated MANs will replace their MAN NL323Fs that are in BUDEP.
