Pes Status expiring in late June 2012 this year.
I got a Memo from MO (SGH) for recommendation of DownPes in Dec 2011, which i took to MO in SAF to see.
His response is that I'm still covered under Temp status and there's no reason for DownPes or to convert it to Perm Pes Status.
My Medical Record: Degenrative Disc (Mild Slip Disc) - MRI Verified
Knee Issues : X-Ray shows my knee cartilage is worn off even before I enlisted. (Frequent Knee pain from prolong standing in 1 position else sharp pain etc)
NSF Excuse Status: From 3rd week of enlistment till ORD all excused.
Question: So how do I get a permanent downpes?
i got a Specialist appt with SGH this April 2012.
So what do I do?
Do i request for a rescan of MRI to validate my Spine issue.
As explained by the MO, you just simply wait for the due expiry PES Review and present your present latest hospital memo then and there.
There's no need to spend any additional money.
okay, noted. thanks

i had filled in the form for down pes and waited for around 1month+. Recently, i went to the MO and ask the coperal and he said that the computer will show ‘pending’ for my pes if i am on the process of pending down pes. however when he check the computer, he reveals that the computer shows my current pes (which is B1L1) instead of ‘pending’. is it possible that i have been ‘forgotten’?
What was your previous pes? Also what are you trying to downgrade for? NSF or NSMan?

well maybe you should see the MO again to clarify or you can check with your clerk, if you find reporting sick take too much time.

so its possible to go back to mo and ask the captain about it ?(just afraid he will get pissed off because i am not reporting sick >_<
3 to 6 months is not a long time for SAF. You should have a MC to cover you for the waiting period.
Hi all,i went for my checkup at april last year, was given pes D due to blood cholesterol and hypertension(High Blood Pressure),failed 2 lipids and NUH lipids too, after reviewing my case,Mo ask me whether i wanted to try for Pes BP,he said the high blood pressure might be due to obesity so i tried lor,now i am currently in my 10th week of my BMT and have lost 17kg,but my recent hospital appointment, the doctor gave me 3 referral letters to show my MO because he says both my blood pressure and cholesterol hasnt improved and he is very worried abt it and the last letter for my hamstring injury(small case anyway, just hurts when i try to sit and stand). I am very worried as i am finishing my BMT in 9 weeks time am now is afraid to know whether i would be Down PES and have to re-do BMT.
Would i??=,=
Hi,
are there anyone here with sleepwalking issues in army. I am being referred to a specialist and is pending. can i check if i would down pes because of this issue? Don't wanna OOC from my course and its bothering me quite a bit.
condition a bit bad, have instances where i would hurt myself due to it. Any one has any ideas?
Hi,
I'm currently a unit clerk (temp PES E), and have not gone for my PES review despite my PES status expiring last month. My boss still wants to keep me in the branch till I ORD.
I found this post in an older topic, may I know if it's still relevant? Will there be any disciplinary consequences (not from unit) or ORD implications? If the post still it is, then my question has been answered, and there shouldn't be any issues. Could anyone help me clarify this?
I OOCed from BSLC SISPEC in APR 07 due to Pneumonia. I got my 6 months temp PES E9L9 status in MAY 07 and subsequently got posted out to another unit as a clerk. I have been doing well in my new unit and my performance is valued by my superiors.
However, the problem is that my temp PES E9L9 status had long expired in NOV 07. As I was also not called up for any PES status review, my superiors advised me not to go to any medical reviews as they do not want to risk losing manpower during this busy period and the unit is already short of hands. Thus, I forsee that a greater problem will arise when i ORD in NOV this year. I think I will be most probably upgraded back to PES A or B(usually for pneumonia cases from what i heard, is that true?) when i go for my FFI before ORD. If that's the case, I will be most probably be posted to a combat unit for my ICTs. My concern is that I cannot assimilate with the new combat unit as I had only been through combat training for a mere 3 months of my NSF life. I am worried that I will be a liability due to the lack of combat skills and experience.
Please advise on what should I do, and is there such thing as remaining as a clerk vocation after being upgraded to PES A or B? Sorry for the lengthy post and hope you can enlighten me on the matter. Thank you very much.
~Cheers and Regards~
if ur health condition is already stablised and consider
fully/almost near recovered by the medical board, u will be
upgraded upon ord. and likely to be post out.
u can still continue ur clerk vocation until ord, as ur superiors urged u too. (see, another typical admin lapse). all i can say is that ur current department can liaise with the unit s1 manpower br and the chief clerk to support the posting whether nsf/reservist to be within ur reservist hq doing clerk-like vocation. chief clerk/manpower officer have the power to retain u, b4 providing anything to the cpc for reservist posting.

My friend was downgraded to a temp Pes, being posted as clerk. He was upgraded but he stayed in the unit. He completed his BMT later before he ORD as a clerk. During reservist, he was posted to be a rifleman and he had been in the unit ever since.
The status will automatically upgrade, whether you like it or not. But it is best to make it perm if you are still unwell.
Hi. I have a temporary PES status of C2L2, which started after I ORD'ed, and it's nearly 6 months(expiring) now.
I'm still having the initial pains, so my knee is ruined by SAF probably for life. I'm not seeking a doctor here so unless anyone wants to know I shall not bore the rest.
SAF hasn't contacted me about my ending temporary PES status so I wonder what I should do now, though I do have open date appointment with the specialist I went to.
Perhaps I should call the specialist for an appointment?
Hi,
Recently consulted an ENT specialist and was diagnosed with the following conditions;
l.Vasomotor rhinitis
2 .Hypertrophic adenotonsillitis
3.Sinusitis with retention cysts or polyps
4.Moderate Obstructive sleep apnoea
Further to that, my dermatologist has also diagnosed me with physical urticaria aggrevated by heat and sweat as well as severe acne (not on accutane yet, currently on Isotrexin topical gel and Azithromycin 250mg).
I've submitted the memos and been put in PES D. Any idea what my final PES should be? C or E?

This is my problem actually. I had it since 2010 October, and I got my temp PES of C2L2 after ORD, 2011 August. I still have it now, so don't get too much hopes that it'll get better.
It's very depressing really; if you don't run your heart gets weaker, and if you do the pain only gets worse.

Probably they'll see if your condition will get better.. if it does, you'll OOC from your current BMT and redo it with the next batch again.
anyone knows mindef's definition of 'Main Support Area' as stated in the L9 category?
Thanks
