General advice to those who have friends in NTI. Very serious investigations have been initated by various departments now and there is a very high chance the heads will be prosecuted and hence those who are in will find big difficulty finding new downlines once the news gets out and once the investigation is done.

Sorry, forgot to reply to you. No, I'm not a lawyer.
Certain quarters in the Ministry of Home Affairs has been alerted to persue the matter. I can't disclose anything else at this point but I can say I'm very positive that this matter regarding NTI will come to a close soon. Perhaps it will set a legal precedent for other MLMs to follow. -

The MLM act after the Year 2000 Revision has made prosecution via the MLM act virtually impossible. As such we will focus our efforts in prosecuting them on other grounds. As for the MLM act, we will need to propose suitable admendments to allow for flexibility in prosecution but that will take some time and effort in pooling legal resources and getting the support of Ministry of Trade and Industry. CAD is merely the executor of this act and hence has not much power other than for preliminary investigations so a multi-pronged approach to this case must be done to achieve the desired effect.

I've said a million times MLM is LEGAL in singapore BUT NTI is a company that seems to be flouting many laws. and even then, there is no authority to define exactly what kind MLM operation is legal or illegal, in a way of licensing for example, CAD only acts as the prosecuting body, not regulatory watchdog

Ask him to read my letter on this forum. You need to get him out quick as the company will be under heavy fire very soon. He can email me if he has any questions, my email is plastered all over this topic. U need to know what I know to be able to convince him that what he is doing is potentially illegal.
