My friend has sold a few thousand dollars worth of vouchers on E-mall more than a month ago.
He used cash upfront to pay for them to deliver to those who bought them.
So far he is has not received any payment.
Just before the investigation and after the news report, the excuse was that the signatory aka JP had some family problem to attend to.
Now when investigation occured, the excuse is that the cheque is with CAD!!!
Hmmmm... like real?
My suggestion for him is to thereaten to go to the press if they do not pay up... plain and simple, don't wait any more. Especially since they do not need any more pay press.
Take note and print all the transaction records, so there can be no dispute.
Anyone can suggest another exit strategy for my friend?

2 week already,
Shin Chew Daily Admin had not reply my 2 emails till date regarding Alex Lye HP no, the rightful owner of Melaka Land, called them but no ones picked up.
so far only cant verified the Shin Chew Daily and Cosmos on property venture website.
As for Utusan Newspaper, i called up the clerk, she said those in the utusan newspaper should be on the online e-news as well, then she direct me to Melaka Office, the clerk can't remember the news or verified it as the old papers all cannot be retrieved.
For Nanyang Daily, received the confirmation email from the editor, but he said the news is wired-news, more like an advert, cut and paste from other source. -
Sadly TNP is always classified as HOLD NO WATER PAPERS.
Wish this was from ST or Zaobao, then SE is all done for as the are gonna have more impact than TNP ~

A friend of mine just went down to SE yesterday and he claimed that the senior management informed him that no one in Singapore has stepped forward to ask for a refund so far. He has invested quite heavily himself and was being informed by the management that CAD wont stop operation in Singapore cos it would mean 'angering' the 20000 members. And the government wouldnt 'dare' to do it cos it will mean some of these pple losing their life time savings..
My friend believe entirely on this and left without claiming a refund. by brains in ohgenki
i didnt cr8 a/c there so i juz replay here la the CAD or government will juz close down the operation and will isseu warning on all such operation in the future de. do you think our government will care angering 20 000 ppl or some ppl will lose their life savings, they will juz say we will try to recoup ur losses and good luck. -

Refunding time frame started since MAS highlighted the alert.

Are they implying that these organisations are weaklings and that they 'will incurr the wrath of 20k members' because they are enforcing the responsibilities given to them by the people of Singapore? If MAS, CAD and other enforcement/regulatory authorities find that SE need to be closed down and charged, there is no way they should take a step back just because 20,000 people have foolishly invested their goddamn savings in it.
This challenge the very fundamentals of government in Singapore and if I have my way, these people should be hanged for high treason. -

Beset by all sides by people screaming for refunds, there were scenes of chaos today at beleaguered MLM company Sunshine Empire's Toa Payoh HDB Hub office as investors, spooked by recent media reports and ongoing investigation by CAD into the company's suspicious business practices, rushed to withdraw their funds from the company.
Many were left fuming as the company had recently issued a memo on their webpage claiming that bank transfers from their company bank to investors accounts would take 14 days instead of the normal 7.
Queues had stretched out of the company's office out into the lift lobby where this reporter was forced to interview several participants as many of the company's staff rushed helter-skelter trying to reassure panicked investors. There were emotional scenes as many people broke down in tears after being told of the company's imminent closure.
"It's not right", some of the people, as young as 17, lining up at the counter to process their refund, said. "My parents invested almost all of their life savings in this scheme, now they can't even withdraw their funds".
Many investors have threatened legal action against the most visible people responsible for this farce, including the company's mentor and adviser, as well as the company's president. At press time, they were not available for comment. A junior manager of the company sneered, "do whatever you want, you can't do anything to us, we are united! Our managers are all driving luxury cars and making 5 and 6 figure monthly salaries! Come sue us if you dare!"

Its true that police cant catch you if you're just planning in thoughts, they just need to acquire the solid evidence before they can move in to shut you down.
Judging from our histories till date, those who challenge the Singapore Government without actual claims are either Bankrupt, Jailed or Seeking Asylum in other countries ~ -

I just read the TNP article on Sunshine Empire.
It mentioned that Sunshine Empire is not related to the companies like Emcom, Emall or Empire property Venture.
There is something very confusing about the Empire group Alliance (EGA).
Isn't Sunshine Empire a part of EGA? Together with Emall, Emcom, Empire Property Venture?
If they are totally unrelated, then why should Emall gave Sunshine Merchants 10% of their monthly turnover?
Or why should Emcom give Sunshine Merchants free call-back systems.
How come Sunshine Villa is for sale only to Sunshine Empire merchants?
Are there seperate contracts between the Merchants and Emall & Emcom?
The generous monthly payout to Merchants are known as CRP or Consumer Rebate Privileges.
There is another payout known as CLP or Consumer Loyalty Privileges, which is (quoting from the SE Starter Kit) "profits generated from the worldwide effort of our Most valued Prime Status Independent International Merchants."
The CLP is as much as 60,000 epoints, which has not started yet.
What exactly is CLP?
I always thought it is future profits generated from the companies under the EGA, to be payout to Sunshine Merchants.
At least that is what I was introduced to, at the Toa Payoh Macdonald. That the only way to tap into the future growth of EGA is through Sunshine Empire.
In SE News section, there are headlines that seemed to indicate that the activities of the other EGA companies are connected to SE.
Great News! Hoping more valued merchants to get a full comprehension on our development projects in Malacca, we are now moving to Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The poster also showed both SE & EPV logos.
Emcom has also thanked Sunshine Empire in their Sept 2006 newletter:

So how does Sunshine does its investments? Is it part of the 'network marketing' strategy?
From this forum a whole list of EGA activities including sensitive information was given out. No Merchant without actual information given to him/her could give such details.
So what is the 60,000 e-points CLP and how is it actually computed?
