But the Ponzi model works, although not indefinitely. That's why you see ponzi programs disguised under other Investment Programs in the US. People know it's a fake, it's about how you go in and earn a quick buck.
Ponzi models pop up everyday, as well as closed down everyday. The owners are usually not arrested. There are even sites on the net that sell the whole ponzi code (for "high yield investment programs") for your own customisation.
Think why is it a big ho-ha now is that the media blew it up, and perhaps extreme over promises of SE agents. Else people who know the industry will continue to "gamble" money quietly, away from the rest.
All you need is an email address, money, and guts. -
