One of my numerous fantasies involve going home to a place where it's tastefully done up and and screams comfort and style.
I think many people also share the same fantasy
Unfortunately, due to budget constraints...
So how about sharing what your current home looks like and what would your ideal living space be like ?
LF has done a kitchen thread already... and its here :

So I wanna do one on Living area..
I like big spaces. Neat and uncluttered. With a comfy sofa or couch to laze all day in...
it would look something like this.
Or this
And this
ANd this.
something like this.
mi wanna live in a trailer...=p
I like mine to have a resort like tropical feel
A mix of leather, wood, stone and plants around with a water feature
Best would be an outdoor pond that flows indoors
But hor I am not rich and cannot afford landed property so the best I can settle with is modern simplicity
I like cozy, warm feeling....feel secured...and being a couch potato, i like nice soft big sofa which i can lie down and munch my tibits while watching movies on big tv screen.
and having a country style living room, guest feel cozy and we all can chat the whole nite long.
earth earth feeling..

It's odd how one changes over the years. In my late teens - early 20's, I loved Country styles.
Now, I find them too cluttered, too flowery, too in-your-face feminine that borders on being cloying, and too 'romantic' as in idealistic, not practical.
Thank goodness I didn't get married in my early 20's, otherwise by now, with how much I have changed over the years, would probably have given the man da boot liao!

It is precisely because one is messy that is why she should avoid country style.... wiping the dust, oil and grime from all the wooden cornices, carving, panelling and details will KILL you!

Haha I didn't see it from this pt of view
But true the cleaning will be awful @@
And it's like a huge dust trap

It is! It is!!
I want tons of storage space cleverly disguised, and stain-free, easy to clean surfaces. Classy but not clustered. It gets extremely dusty here with the dry weather and strong winds. *()@*#&#@$!!!

Never had a thing for country style... I like clean clean neat neat stuff. And clever storage. mmmm
A good variation of the country theme would probably be scandanavian design. You still get the warmth of wood but less of the fussiness from traditional country design.

Oh yes! Cleverly-concealed storage areas are of paramount importance to me!
But unnecessary nooks and crannies and unreachable spots that will collect dust, and allow Huntsman spiders to breed are huge no-no's!
Normal will do...
