Can print ma...
And one thing, some textbooks become almost useless after the sem.
Then you have trouble selling them off, that's when you start regretting you bought.

Hanor. Textbooks shouldn't be the means to an end. After graduation, they should remain in one's library as useful reference or for future endeavours in further studies. I'll only get rid of my textbooks if I want to get hold of the latest edition.
but watever I studied is not in any useful needs
I'm now doing research on bus sv operations ![]()
Haiz... I'm facing tremendous difficulties this time round trying to absorb the things I'm studying! Don't know whether it's cause I'm older or because the subject matter is difficult and complicated. ![]()

Thats true....
But you see, in my field, everything becomes useless at spectacular speed.

Who could have forseen 2008's Lehman stuff in general (of cos there was talk about unsustainability, but nobody thought the US govt would not bail them out).

Isn't it comforting to know, I've been trying to do my stuff the entire day, and made little headway?![]()

Well, if you do read details in another pov.. maybe you figure things out better. ![]()

economics.
I must get latest editions....which keep changing substantially.
its more important to be flexible than stick with textbooks in our case.

Conventional textbooks didnt offer that view.![]()
Y'know, I wish I had paid attention to my studies in JC. And I really regret not putting in effort in my 'A' Levels Economics because I now consider Econs to be a really essential Social Science. After I complete my post-grad studies, I'd love to embark on those mini modular courses in the Uni's here, just for the sake of knowledge.

Yeah... kinda comforting, although it's kinda evil to feel good based on someone else's ill-fortune!
I suppose it's just a difficult and complex subject matter, not so much my age nor shrinking brain! ![]()

True... but the fundamental principles do not change, isn't it?

JC econs is terrifically different from what i'm doing now.
I'm supposed to know how to do some programming to project trends. Which struck me as ironic bcos my profs always take pains to emphasise extrapoliations always fail.![]()
But the maths part is pretty fascinating.

Fwah! The minute numbers come into the picture, I experience a brain freeze!
(Maybe that's why my bank account figures remain paltry?
)
Anyways, what are you studying? Sounds really fascinating and very tough!

Actually...they do.
Its linked to psychology, behavioral economics, which itself is a new branch.
We always hear of different ways to teach children becos they keep finding out what works better.![]()
ah 2601
I pre-empted LTA recently, suggesting earlier retirement of e pioneer MRT trains.
Cos not worth spending e upgrade funds to replace e trains 1 - 2 yrs later... might as well early retire them ![]()
Think no one thought of it

Using maths to try to prove your minds work in certain fashion under certain circumstances.
Unrealistic, but rather interesting.
Stuff like the Prisoner's Dillemma.
