Cheaper food can find either at Bt Panjang, I know got 1 small coffeeshop along Petir Rd...
Or the Bt Timah 7th Mile market...
there's a subway if all else fails .....
but if you're keen on brunch at railmall I recommend hooked .... a seafood joint .....
good food, I love the fish pie appetizer ............ the only thing is that the waiting time can be quite long .... I suspect the owner is personally working as the chef in the kitchen, that's why ......
wonders if i can get my mitts on this next:

Reminds me..
Fatum, do you realise the Gombak/ Cashew Rd/ Upp Bt Timah Rd junction can really get ponded (It's not flood, it's like a small pond layered w/ rain water) these days..
The pavement area gets flooded...

I don't really notice ....
I do notice, however, that the rocher road area really gets ponded when it rains ....... you'll have 3-4 inches of water sloshing around during a heavy rain ....

SPCA: Glue boards are cruel to rats
I really have to ask them something:
Is it considered cruel for me to own cats, considering that they hunt and brutally maim rats before finally killing them?

I really do think it is a bit cruel ......
true, nature red in tooth and claw .... but we are humans ...... we are supposed to be above this level, no ? .......
had a huge quarrel with my folks over this some time back, when I wanted to dispatch the mice that we trapped in the backyard humanely .......

everyone is fine thanks .... except for tookie bunny ......
he's been digging up the backyard, and recently he caught a skin infection ..... had to have the fur on part of his haunch shaved off at the vet's and be doused in anti-biotic cream .....
oh nooooo toooookiiiiieeeee~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
mice, well, maybe u can pass to elindra and she can feed it to her tank of horror in some ways
![]()
nowadays patches and tookie are quite jealous of each other .......
whenever I or fatumnette sayang patches, tookie will stamp and snap his feet in his cage to get our attention ... and whenever we sayang the bunny, patches will go nuts and chase her tail and bite her squeaky toys and flip over and writh on the floor .....

My cats can and do catch rats from time to time.
The way I see it, if we humans weren't here we'd have feral cats doing the same thing to rats anyway. The only difference is that domesticated cats are given names by their owners and are not hostile to humans. Otherwise, if you let loose a house cat on the street it can quickly learn to fend for itself.
Which is why I asked the very interesting question: if I were to adopt a cat from the SPCA, and it brutally attacks rats that invade my house, how is that any less cruel than using a rat trap?
