Those f***ing China cyclists are the worst! They think it's bloody China here? They dun f***ing owe the road you know.
Life too cheap that's why, over in China kena knocked down by car also nvm, juz dump their bodies at the roadside to rot. See police, bribe them can liao. Anyway they got so many people in their country...it's insignificant to lose a few. Just treat it as a form of population control!
Not worth getting yourself into trouble with such cheap labourers. The authorities should juz banned them from cycling here -

I once saw this MPV delilberately overtake a cyclist on the left and serve into the cyclist's path to intimidate them. I was walking by the side of the road. I shouted some vulgarities at the MPV driver and showed him the finger even though the cyclist uncle took it calmly. That driver didn't dare to come down from his Toyota. -
those endangering cyclist usually are the banglas and construction workers lar. thier budget bikes no warning lights and stuff and past midnight a gang of them can be seen waving down the entre little india/ seargoon road. they get 'camoflodged' in the darkness and somemore still no warning lights.
I am also a die hard cyclist and please stop stero typing us. We are deemed too slow for the roads and deemed to dangerous for sidewalks posing threats to pedistrans. So u guys expect us cycle where ? I dont even see any cycyling tracks before excpet in parks. -

the one tat is dangerous and gives bad name are those foreign worker and some ahpek and people who cycle for commuting,these people,some no lights at all which is super dangerous and some travel against traffic...
i myself is a cyclist,when i see these people,i also always look down on them,especially people who cycle against traffic... i was like,wtf...... at least cycle on pavement lahz..
fyi,cycling track is very short,where got fun...
some drivers are reckless,but some drivers are nice... so wads wrong with us cycling on the road? cycle on the road at least never disturb pedestrian,but u all drivers complain,if we cycle on pavement,u all pedestrian complains...
cycling is a good and fun sports.. so stop dissing cyclist.... if not,y dun u try to be cyclist and feel wad they feel when they diss abt u... provided u can cycle on 2 wheels... cycling is a passion btw... -

Actually I cycle on the pavement when I am cycling alone (if cycling in groups, then cycle on road cos more visibility) and yes, cycling on the pavement is illegal and
and I do ring the bell though my intention is not to ask pedestrians to get out of the way, but to just warn them I am coming from behind so they won't suddenly change direction or move to the centre of the path
If someone is blocking my whole path in front, usually I just move slowly along bobian. I really hope some day LTA will get it into their brains that cycling is a fantastic mode of transport for many people in Singapore and instead of forcing us to share the road with car or pavement w pedestrians, it will be really great to have road or lanes for us. AND those so-called cycling paths through the parks? It's bullshit lor.. u carry ur bicycle more than u cycle. -

cycling is really good,somemore singapore not say tat big,so its possible to cycle as a mod for transport,some places,its faster to cycle than taking bus...
i cycled from newton to my last time secondary sch,acs(i) in dover road can take abt 20-25 mins,while taking bus will take 35-45 and sometimes 1hr...
but of course i wont cycle to sch i think :p -

yes, cycling can be faster than taking public transport. once, i cycling frm tamp to ecp. on bus S31's route. i overtook a S31 and caught up with another S31 infront.

True. Cycling is too dangerous either on pavements and on the roads. LTA should follow Netherlands, where there are plentiful roads meant just of cycling. Now i see 9 out of 10 bicycles without any lights, especially children bikes,when it's dark. Cyclists are endangering themselves.
Our roads are too small to accomodate all types vehicles. Everybody must have some tolerance towards the use of all modes of transportations and roads usage. -

yea... i'm a cyclist too.... but wat i dun like is most taxi drivers.... everytime i cycle road to avoid pedestrians, but den everytime when i'm being honked, i can be almost 100% sure tat it is a taxi even though i did nothing wrong... I think is the taxi drivers too hurry to earn $$$ so do tis bah....

When u've a road bike, a pedestrian pathway is too dangerous, so you move to road; on the roads, you're definitely not as fast as cars, but there are so many lanes! Can't the cars just give way? Not as though the lane is so small that only 1 car can fit in. At least be more understanding and run on the right side (i.e. 2nd lane) of the cyclist.

Aiyoh don't blame cyclists from China, India or Bangla Desh or wherever lah.
Long time ago before there were any of these 'foreign talents' Singapore cyclists already biking around like they owned the roads and pedestrain walkways. Trouble is LTA has been especially lenient by not requiring cyclists to register their machines. So cyclists can do whatever they want and not get caught. It's about time the government make cyclists register and pay a fee so that more bicycle tracks can be built. -

when i cycle on the road, some cars give way, and some dun..
when they give way, i raise my hand and say thanks. if they dun, just cycle on.
its really irritating and dangerous when arses drive close to us. in case you dont know, the dirty air your car creates when u drive past at high speeds is enf to make us wobble.
remember the advert, "pass it on"
