  well, gays and lesbians arn't really that rare anymore, and out of a student population of over 1000, you are definately going to find a few homosexual students.
  
  however the things that you described arn't very helpful. girls tend to hold hands with each other alot, even though theres no sexual attraction between them, and in case you never noticed, girls usually go to the toilet in pairs, whether they're lesbian or not. also, about the issue of going home together, well duh, if they take the same route home obviously theres a high chance that they'd go home together.
