Hmm. I'm really not sure what one might deem a regular sex partner, but the way I see it, emotions are inevitably involved. However, I'm not really taking about the relationship kind.Regular sex partners are in fact good friends of the opposite sex-just like you would feel comfortable cuddling with a close friend, the physical attraction is just an extension of that affection-and having sex is about sharing that intimacy.( note: its a personal view) You'll be surprised, but friendships sometimes become stronger because of the level of intimacy. This is because there has to be an underlying current of trust in the first place--the girl has to be comfortable knowing that she is safe and that she's not going to have to do anything she doesn't want to-and the guy treats her with respect, he doesn't take advantage of her. And with anything else, trust is a fundamental basis of any relationship, be it serious or friendship. As long as she feels really comfortable with him, things can happen. Of course, there has to be some physical attraction as well. However, I have to agree that sometimes feelings can come into the picture-hence I guess it is important to make clear where the line is drawn. Sometimes guilt also sets in, especially if one party is seeing someone else, but both parties have to be matured enough to deal with it. Finally, it doesn't mean that its a " all I want to do is bang bang" kind of thing-just like good friends, you will also see yourself going the extra mile for the person.Love, care, concern-its all there-just not within the constraints of a relationship.
