You asked what others who do not want the child to do, and I tell you.
You probably want to do what you want to do anyway, THAT, is your choice... your right to do what you want.
However, to me, RESPONSIBILITY to bear the consequences of MY CHOICE is very important..
Most of all, when a failure to bear responsibility causes the life of someone else, what kind of a future would you have, with that weighing heavy on your conscience? Selling the present for an empty purse of a conscience-stricken future?

Everyone keep asking the poor girl to spare the baby's life.
Before you think she is commiting a murder. Think about this. She has no other alternatives, if not she will not choose the most drastic action of abortion.
Would you rather she kill herself to escape the realism of the real and cruel world? What would her family say when they finds out? She will be condemmed for life! The family will be disgraced, and her life will be ruined.
If you think she can find comfort in her baby than you are wrong. I don't think she is financially nor mentally prepared. If she chooses to give the baby up for adoption, the baby will never know who the real mother is!
Would you want to be like the child? I have a cousin who was adopted. But my cousin did not know about it. Until today. No one except the adults know. But i know because my mother's tounge slipped and she told me.. Imagine not being your parents' real child, and knowing somewhere in this vast world, lives your "real" family?!
Actually, we should encourage her decision and not condemm her.
This is a mistake she made, and let's hope she will not repeat the same mistake again. -

You were equating the life of an unborn baby with the life of a cow, a pig or a chicken...
You may not know it but you were saying that the life of a child is not worth saving if it inconveniences you... even if the responsibility for the child's life is yours, it can be just thrown aside if there is any inconvenience, any hardship and any thing that may "shame" a person...
This may be a discussion here, but this is what the world is becoming now... lives are cheap... give me convenience or give me death... and it pains me to see it like that because what next? We place a dollar value on the life of people? A child is worth XXX dollars so if you do not have that amount, abort?

I personally think tat unless a gal is left with no choice, if not e thought of abortion will not come to her.
Althought abortion is cruel, and the dipping birth rates in Singapore,
if it will to happen to me one day, I'll choose to abort. Cos looking back from history till today, being an unwed monther is still too much to take. I dun deny tat the situation has improve alot in the 20th century, but it still take alot of guts, to bring up a child.
