ciao.. it's funny how your taste of music changes as you grow older.. wasn't interested in jazz 10 yrs ago.. but now i love it for it's sensual, soothing sounds..Originally posted by Haven:Listened to it....not really my style. But will give it another try when i'm back. Cao!![]()
Not oni music but going out as well on the weekends too. For me, as I grow older... I prefer to go to a Pub and wind down... have some drinks and some nice conversation wif friends. But If I have the mood for clubbing, I'm still up for it.Originally posted by sillyme:ciao.. it's funny how your taste of music changes as you grow older.. wasn't interested in jazz 10 yrs ago.. but now i love it for it's sensual, soothing sounds..![]()

Some of my favorite female jazz singers will include:
Sheena Easton (her album "No Strings" )
Diana Krall
Laura Fygi
Keiko Lee
and our Singapore's Jacintha (her album "Lush Life" ).
First time I heard Norah was on MTV.. she had a unique presence even on TV.. i told myself, "i've got to get her CD".. true enough i wasn't disappointed.. you are correct that her music sounded country.. i think she did it nicely too..Originally posted by Atobe:In the compilation "All that ...jazz" - does it include a mix of singers from the early 50's, 60's and down to the present ?
I think I tested it at the store, and found some of the tracks were good, but those from the early days did not sound as real good quality recording - then again, maybe I was using the earphone during the test hearing which probably did not give show the true sound quality.
Any good place in Singapore for live "jazz" that you know of ?
