Stop having the idea that homosexuality is UNATURAL.
It is as natural as the sky is blue.
Display of homosexual behavior has been obderved in animals. Its all over the animal kingdom.
There is no perfect or "normal" organism in nature. Nature is diverse. There is no model sheep whereby all sheeps are modelled after. In the same token there is no model for the perdect human being.
The argument that homosexuality is unatural a fallacy. Homosexuality exist in nature therefore it cannot be unatural. -
Just something to add
Human sexuality is a contium, not an absolute. i.e. There are varying degrees of how straight or how gay you are.
Thus a person cannot be "turned" gay. If for some reason a person turns gay, he has gay tendencies to begin with.
I don't believe a gay person can become straight nor the other way around. Much of who you are have been determined during your formative years from 1 to 5.
The jury is still out on the issue of nature or nurture. i.e. Wheather one is born gay or bred gay. I believe there are some biological factors (not neccessarily genetic) and some environmental factors. They work in tadem to mould a person.
As I read the posts, there were some nasty comments. I can't help but feel frustrated over the ignorance of Singaporeans. Educated as we are, most of us are still living in a well. I had expected more from the younger generation of Singaporeans.
Oh by the way I am gay. I dont usually come here, but the recent media blitz pique my interest on what the man on the street has to say on this issue, so I just stopped by. -
