[Quite controversial part] - I was told some pastors [non-catholics] actually abuse their religion for the purpose of sex with their female congegrations. I never seen it before happening but I know it is happening.

A CLEAR glass of water with ABSOLUTELY NO IMPURITY... If 2 drops of rain falls from the sky, into the glass... Is it a dirty glass of water? Or is it 2 drops of rain WITHIN the CLEAR glass of water? Are the 2 drops of rain PART of the CLEAR glass of water? Or are they NOT?
But of course, in normal life situation it's not quite possible to get a TOTALLY CLEAR glass of water...? And even if ya manage to get one... If you don't want it contaminated then WHY put the glass of water in the OPEN in the 1st place?

Objective(s) of some churches seems to have changed lately...? Because afterall, they're still run by HUMANS...?

Yes.. but how long do we last in this world? The avergae life span is what.. 70, 80 yrs? When you compare that to eternity, it's nothing. What's the use if a man gains the whole world, and then loses his soul? -

Religion and morality ARE two seperate issues.
Religion can teach morals - morals that are followed by people all over the world of the same faith, and generally agreed by them to be right and for the benefit of society.
However, morals can come from yourself too, and what you perceive to be right. In this case, you are answerable only to yourself and you conscience.

I feel that Christians who follow the Bible too literally are judging themselves by standards set two thousand years ago. I'm sure not all Christians are like that. -

Why is it that some people expect christians to be perfect? Are we not human too? I have never met a christian who claims to be an angel.. cos we know perfectly well that we are sinners in need of Christ. So dont make up bull. Perhaps ur friends are just 'sunday christians.' They go to church every sunday but in reality, they do not reflect the lifestyle of true christians. So do not stereotype ALL christians based on those that you know. There are always hypocrites in every religion. (Not saying that ur friends are though.)

Christians are not perfect, but they are called to be perfect. Does that mean that the moment they accept Christ, they become perfect immediately? Of course not.
What is a christian then? A christian is one who accepts the sovereignity of God. He dies to his old nature and put on Christ's nature. It is a process of becoming like Christ. There will always be people calling themselves christians but not act in a christianly way. But christians should not give excuses when their human nature fails them, but continually look to our source of beliefs and continually look to be someone God has created us to be.
Christian need not shun away from topics like sex, smoking, drinking, etc. Talking about it is not a sin itself. It's the the perversion of these subjects, the actual act of it that is forbidden. Is drinking bad? No, but the act of drunkeness is. What is more important that christian should not let all these things be a vice to them and let it become a "god" in the lives. e.g. the love of money.
Anyway, let's hear from the other religions? I think they'd disagree about people abuses faiths/religions. -
Hey....sometimes i feel this religious thing is shitty....I mean for catholics,taoism,buddhism...they didnt go around behaving like they are the best in the world and urging conversion and persuading people to join etc..they were passive.....most of my christian friends are shitty,agressive and hypocritical.....they preach like mad,madly defensive about their religion,try to urge(trick) me to join church citing non-religious reasons like church can meet girls,make friends,have fun etc,look down on non-christians,dont make friends with you unless u join church or be christian,look down on people who party and chat loosely on sensitive topics,always behave damn moralistic.....they cant cite religious reasons to join church cause they know if they cite religious reasons,i will never go....they always behave like they are the best in the world,always behave like all other religions belong to the Devil and not human,only christianity are the good and orthodox religion...well..i think they are mad or their Church use cult methods to brainwash them...i understand some churches uses cult methods cause cult methods are effective in recruiting members,keeping members and maintaining obedience among members.....one fella even tell me he went mosque and argue with the head of the mosque and won..dunno true or not..i even heard the christian big shots in Spore wanna make sure 80% of Singaporeans are christians by year 2000 dunno what..so what if they reach the target....then make it 100%?...if cannot,fight to make sure? .....And on what basis you need to make Spore a christian nation..is christianity so without faults and so holy and good?

And, pls have some consideration. Calling them mad? Saying they are brainwashed? Another sign of narrow-mindedness.. just because u dont believe in it doesn't mean it's not true. Dont say that it al a joke. Just respect other people's beliefs. No one here has the right to criticise anyone else's religion. I can skip reading your whole paragraph and read the last sentence just to get a sense of ur level of maturity.
Perhaps it's true that some christians dont know the right way to introduce God to other non-christians. In the end, they end up offending them, like what they did to you. But they have good intentions, but perhaps they just didnt go about it in the right way. Sometimes we just get too excited about Him and just wanna share it with the whole world.
You see, it's just like when a child has a new toy. When his parents just buys him something new, he wants to show it off to everyone - friends, family, etc. That is exactly what we've found. We've found so much happiness that we want our friends and the people we love to share it with us, to get to know Him too.
Some members behave like God and look-down on non-christians? Again, dont judge ALL of them because of this. In reality, we christians do not do that, cos we know that we were all sinners once. We are not superior in any way.
Oh, and the stupid thing u said about them having a target, and then fighting to make sure that they acheive it. Pls think before u speak -that comment was just plain dumb. Who're they gonna fight?! There's no harm in setting a target, why does it bother u what they aim for? But that extra remark abt fighting was inappropriate.
And no - it's not because we claim that christianity is sooo holy and good. Yes, we do find it good, otherwise why are we christians? But we would never FORCE anyone. Whoever does so is wrong. In the end, God gives everyone a choice.

Not sure about christianity but i am aware that there's really a religion in ancient india do worship "linga(male genital)" and "yoni(female genital)".

Sure, there may be some corrupt people, especially in Catholic churches (dont shoot me for this!) who spoil the whole name. This is not what it's supposed to be.
In my church, we are happy to see that out pastor is rich. I mean, it shows our God is not a stingy God!! If a guy on stage is preaching about how 'God will provide u with everything' and he is wearing torn pants with holes in them, would anyone believe him? No!! People have this idea that because God made him rich, he cant make them rich. As if there is a limited supply of miracles in heaven or something. Come on, have faith in God!! (This is mostly for believers).
And as I said before, there will certainly be people who make use of religion in the wrong way. Be it Christians, Buddhist, or whatever it is. Dont just single out one.
At the end of it, God gives everyone the right to choose, whether to believe or not. You will either suffer the consequence, or get saved by it. -

hey..its not my fault I met christians like that...if wanna blame...blame the church or christian system for misleading and exaggerating on the Teachings......they were the ones who started condemning other religions for belonging to the Devil and non-christians for not following the right path......they were the ones who say everything is provided by God...so no need to work,study or do anything..God provides everything....they were the ones who insist non-christians must join church and be christians or be condemn in Hell forever....they are a scary bunch all right but they exist everywhere in Spore and why do they exist? cause their 'Super Rich' pastors egg them on and teach them exaggerated stuff so they could be richer....I have attend church events before and I was really scared by some things the pastors said and the response of the congregation...these people got potential to cause conflicts in future in Spore with their extreme views...If they know you are here,they will also condemn you for behaving a bad follower of Him...of course I met other different Christians but most are hardcore.....why the inconsistencies?..well...that you have to ask why the christian religious system is not standardized..every pastor behaves like Indian Chiefs with their own agenda...so that why christians all over the spore behave differently..i am just relating what i had experience..its not my fault christians have so much inconsistencies and hypocrisies.....not my fault christians have blown up their religion to be so good and perfect and when they cant stay at the standard...their main excuse is that "we are only humans","got black sheep" etc.....

What do u mean by we lost our freedom? What freedom? You're implying that Christians have no freedom? That is so wrong. We are not FORCED to live any kind of life, nor restricted. You can do whatever u please, but we CHOOSE to live a life for God. Its hard to explain.
