well, i am born fair and like to be fair. Some people have commented that i am milky/snowy white
Two reasons, i personally think i look better that way. If tanned, that's so ugly & dirty, look like filipino maid.
The other reason is that most chinese guys i know pefer women with white skin. -

i prefer tanned girls lahz, they look healthier compared to fair gals who mostly look pale n sickly except for some who're fair but haf a healthy pink glow on their faces.

Hmm... I'm very fair but sometimes i wish i were tan.. look at those beach babes.. *Jealous*.. but sometimes when i think of those cute jap\korean gals then i think.. hmm.. i am lucky to have nice fair skin..

as a woman, i must say that i agree with your first statement that normal tone is nothing special.
But i have to disagree with your second statement. tanned until very tanned makes one look like "charcoal" - that's so ugly!
However, fair until very fair makes one look like snow white - i think that looks good.

in fact, i feel that normal looking gers should be fair. only those priveileged few can afford to be tan. one white hide 3 ugliness.
