hmm, realise from reading this that most gals prefer to be tanned.
Think i am very different.
I prefer to be fair, the fairer the better, best is white white.
Thankfully, i am snowy white all over , no tanlines, freckles or blemish. -

If I'm fair, I looked like I've got cancer.. lolx. So y make myself look sick? I prefer to be tanned. Healthier and sportier look suits me best.

speaking as a guy, my 2 cents worth is that fair doesn't make you look sick. it makes you look better.
the chinese standards of beauty includes having fair skin.
most of my guy friends prefer women with fair skin ! -

For some chinese girls, they look nicer in fair skin
examples Fann Wong, Gong Li
but the other chinese girls look nicer in tanned skin

guys should be tanned not fair !
I have no idea what fann wong does.
But the following works for me (in increasing order of importance):
1) Enuff sleep (7-9 hrs min)
2) Lost of vitamin C & E
3) Body & Facial Exfoilation
4) Avoid the sun*
5) Apply SunBlock**
6) Apply whitening lotions***
7) Born Fair
*: This means avoiding the sun during lunch hours, staying indoors as much as posssible and wearing gloves while driving etc
**: Use something like SunPlay SPF 130+, a Japanese brand, generally they work better for asian skin
***: I use SKII stuff, not only on my face but my entire body. It will be odd if just the face is white! Must be whole body white.
My maid helps me apply it on my body, especially those difficult to reach areas.
Of course, the caveat if that one must be born fair in the first place. Guess I am fortunate in that aspect. If so, then if you religiously apply the steps outlined above, you can achieve a complete, flawless, snowy white body. It works for me! -
