Will you accept a non virgin husband?![]()
yeah! I totally agree with u!Originally posted by Jeannie:Reading this thread, I am quite shocked to know that the modern day Singaporean man is still quite obsessed about the viginity issue.
It's so conservative, and it's strange to me as the users in this forum are also quite young.
Honestly guys...virginity should not be an issue when you choose to marry someone. Marriage is based not on virginity, but a mutual respect and understanding of each other. If you are going to judge the ladies on virginity, then I feel you are living in the wrong century.

Originally posted by kurai:just curious, do you think your parents would accept a non-virgin daughter-in-law? I mean, of course most of u can, on account of love. But wat about your parents' approval? This is an asian society after all. Parents' views still hold some weight.
or third best, fourth best or even more.... if they have done it more then onceOriginally posted by damz83:I don't think itz very easy to find a virgin around these days... so why not just settle for second best instead.
u mean ur parents will go and find out if ur wife-to-be next time is a virgin or not?Originally posted by kurai:just curious, do you think your parents would accept a non-virgin daughter-in-law? yes. i realize the futility of being religious in the bar forum. i only see the present state and the future because i believe whatever past can be cleansed and nullified.Originally posted by hope1:Can you accept a non virgin wife?
i think u missed my point. Of course i also agree that it's u who marry your wife, not your parents, so they should not control your life. But parents as they are, it's perfectly normal for them to express their opinions of their doaughter-in-law, or they wouldn't be parents afer all! As for whether a person should be swayed by his parents' opinions is a case-to-case basis of whether wife more important or parents more important. -BUT- my whole point of the question is just to see how many parents of this age is still stubborn on the chastity issue.Originally posted by the Bear:anyone who lets their folks have a say in their choosing their own life partner does not deserve to get married..
and their parents do not deserve to have children...
To each his own. I still feel that virginity does have a bearing on one's character. If a guy can't accept the fact that his girl is not a virgin, he should not force himself to do so just because the people around him hold the view that virginity is irrelevant.Originally posted by Jeannie:Reading this thread, I am quite shocked to know that the modern day Singaporean man is still quite obsessed about the viginity issue.
