will u sign a pledge to remain a virgin till marriage?

hey... not sure if anyone has discussed this here before... but recently there has been a report on a people signing a pledge to remain virgins till they are married. it is initiated by Focus On The Family Singapore (FOTF), a Christian charity organisation. will u sign or not sign it? why and why not? any opinions???

yah i read about it too. think it's associated with some church and they are targetting at sec sch students using peer pressure as a tactic. but what's the point really? having pre-marital sex doesn't determine 1 person is good or evil. as long as the couple is willing to take positive responsiblity for their own actions then tink should be fine...........

Using peer pressure may not be a bad thing, especially when all other methods used to discourage premarital sex among teens fail.. but I don't think need to sign pledge bah? It's after all a personal kind of promise, and it's not like signing a pledge is definitely going to keep the person faithful to what the pledge says... So long as you keep that promise to yourself in mind... -
my group of frens didnt have to sign one ---we are all virgins till marriage...and we are proud of that.
young adult these days are too liberal ... -

sign or not sign will not necessary mean that you will stick to the pledge. It only works as a reminder.
But I admire those who did keep to the pledge.
You can be a non virgin anytime but you cant be a virgin again once you lost it. -
not only churches la.. though the teachers are christians.. muslim teachers are applying this oso. i think its a good movement.
i mean all the teachers do is show the consequences, and show interviews of ppl regreting their decisions, hear their lifestory.
showing the students the reality of it, that no protection is totally 100% safe, it only takes 1% to make it a risky gamble.

no one is saying sex is wrong and evil, and shouldn't hv sex.. just reserve urself for the one u marry and love, that way.. not much can go wrong. at least there is a feeling of security for both parties.

Where is this place?? Bar is for ADULTS.. And we as adults can't even decide whether we wanna stay as virgin or not is up to ourselves.. If we really need to sign a pledge to stay virgin, its kinda lame.. say u r still a virgin and ur parents keep reminding u abt keeping "it" till marriage...i think u'd probably be towards the pledge thingy and sign it.
but at the end of the day, if u somehow reach the point of no return, would u even recall that u have actually signed that piece of paper u kept in ur wallet?

IN MY VIEW, signing da pledge doesnt juz mean U have high moral ethics & keep yrself a virgin. It only tells U (or me if U dun believe) dat U r insecure abt it & needs authenic credible PROOF to keep U in check.
If U tink virginity is IMPT AND have da moral integrity & discipline, U dun need to sign anything to proclaim U CAN & WILL keep being a virgin til then...
I not saeing those not virgin r morally loose. Dats a load of crap. Its in each & every1 of US to learn & decide & accept wat "moral" is. Every1 has diff views of "morality" & dats 1 of da reasons Y "moral ethics" cannot be generalised into such a stereotyped pattern.
