That school really sucks. I remember 2 pervertic incident that happened at my school before. The first one was a student writing pervertic notes about teachers like how much she was worth their measurements etc. The note was passed around the class, apparently the guy who wrote the note sat behind me and luckily he thought I was too naive to read those kind of things and didn't passed the note to me. A nosy Prefect got hold of the note and reported it to the Discipline Master. Damn that Prefect, I think she wanted to get promoted only, the class Monitor also didn't take that note to heart. In the end most of the boys in the class were called out to write a report except for me and a few others. We are the " Guai Kia " type so didn't suspect us. The boy that wrote the note was given 3 strokes and the boys that read the note and laughed were give suspension. The Prefect went around telling people something about the invading the pride of a woman and all that crap. Luckily, the boy that wrote the note didn't report to the teachers that I provided him with the paper.
The second incident was about 2 boys also from the same class as the above incident. They sneaked in the Ladies and peeped at girls urinating. I don't really know much about this incident as it was very confidential, that I didn't know much even though the 2 boys were my good friends. I did heard rumours of one of the boys molesting a girl and opening her legs wide. Even so the police weren't alerted, all the boys got was canning and suspension.
Despite the above incidents all of them are still good friends. Don't you think that the school that reported the police for Porno VCDs was too much? -

- If it is because the way the school handle the incident, I agree.
- If it is due to the incident u think that this school is full of "bad" students, I feel it is another typical Singaporean's thinking of over-protective of our students and unwillingness to expose children to learn from real-life mistakes. If I am staying nearby the school, I will still accept to sent children to this school. I would rather children learn character-building more than only academically. This is a learning process, but proper guidance/"education" from school, parents and society must be given. -

The Principal so old still haven't marry yet. You really think she don't watch porn, masturbate and go Red Light District? The police should catch her instead. And parents shouldn't sent their children to that school not because of the bad influence. I think being curious isn't a bad thing. Parents shouldn't sent their children to that school because the school doesn't even protect their own student. I don't think the school gotten the parent's permission before reporting the incident to the police, which parent would allow their children to be blacklisted? And even worse they deprived the students of their meals. I hope the parents of the poor boy in hospital sues the school until it closes down. Such a school shouldn't be left operating.

I think its ok for the school to punish them but then no food and drinks for so long is overboard le! The students even cant go toilet!!! The sch is torturing students or punishing them?? Is there a need for a small matter to be blown till so big??? I wonder wat is the principal thinking..?? Hmmm.....

Once my friends and me sat down at the school bench, talking with our discipline master. When we talked about porno, he said to us, even if we watch or read sex articles, please dont distribute these around or bring them to school even. He said just to keep to ourselves.
He knows we boys cannot avoid such things, but whatever we do, we just keep it to ourselves. Passing it around will be breaking the laws and school rules. He is not concern with the schools rules broken, he is more concerned with us breaking it, and getting ourselves into trouble.
As the discipline master, he doesnt like the punishing part, he believes in us learning being more responsible than sorely learning lessons. -
The police came into the picture bcos of the boy who was hospitalized due to his intestinal problem... and police has to establish what happened... as fire cannot cover paper... so the case of Porno VCD has to come to the surface...
The principal is wrong, probably for detaining the boys without food/water for 7 hours...the rest is beyond her control.
MOE is looking v seriously into the matter...

When the principal said "oversight", I believe it means the school/"whoever" did not take concern/care for students as one of the priority in Education or when citing punishment. This is more or less similar to the 3 deaths in SAF whereby more emphasis on care/concern for soldiers is done now. I hope the MOE should include this into their teacher training/re-training, and emphasis this issue. -
