VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING
so many more beautiful ladies out and about on the streets....
whom ever screened the applicants must be getting some extras cos how the heck did some of those ladies even qualify ?!

it takes guts to go for the interview and stuff.. so give the girls credit for that.. but i think the judges should really better their standards of judging? How do they judge the girls? Looks? Well, only some of them really qualify to even make it pass it first round.. then again, beauty is an opinion, whatever appeals to the judges may not appeal to us.. Brains? Do we take fake/awkward accent into account? Whatever it is, i'm sure we are capable of doing better.. jamie teo and bernice wong (gosh.. i hope i got their names right) they're weren't too bad looking.. that lawyer..nurulisa? her speech was enticing.. it made her stand out from the others almost immediately because of the dept of it.. i think this year's competitors certainly need alot more training..

Hmm, I dunno about you guys, but people always tell me that sex-for-favours is a norm in the local entertainment industry. So, every so often a girl with limited talent and looks ends up in the limelight, leaving everyone guessing as to why...but quite often she's there because she slept with someone who pulled strings for her.
Maybe the same rule applies in our beauty pageants? -
