You don't like it you can don't read it. There's no fine rule that says nobody should be off-topic or flame someone.To be honest, we don't normally see Jason involved nor his direct presence in BAR. But we all do see his announcements. So far, it's usually FireIce who responds and so far, she has been successful in clamping down on pervies and those who break the rules.
Why should we let anyone else other than Jason to decide whether it's worth it or not. You can create your own adult-theme forum within sgforums and not let her ruin your pleasure of reading such material. Of course, Jason still determines the right as the owner of the forum to decide the eventual outcome of your membership should you cross the line too often.

So far I've only been commenting on what happens, and so far, no one has denied that this happens. Whether lame posts and off-topicness is right or wrong, I'm saying it happens. What the moderators want to do it's up to them, I'm just bringing up the issue that it happens. Of course, I also repeat my stand that an Adult forum should be one where people can discuss adult issue objectively and maturely. Point to note though that someone has suggested a lack of maturity in the general public here.
So perhaps such a forum cannot exist here? Whether moderator or rules allow it, is the maturity level here high enough? Not stating anything regarding the maturity, but just wondering any views on this? -
Stupid, lame and petty, it all depends on whose perspective you are looking through actually. By some people's standards the BAR forum would seem to be fine, whereas maybe there are others who don't think so. It's hard really to draw a line sometimes. Afterall, BAR is also the most active because of the most crapping as well. It's BAR but yet most of the posts don't seem to be about clubbing, drinking or adult matters. I'm aware that some people are feeling hostile towards me for what I've said, but as I've said, it's not my intention to start enemies, just maybe getting people to share. I guess the flaming and insults would continue, because some people just love to get personal. I guess heated discussions occur, but even if it gets heated, it's still possible that people remain on-topic. There was this thread in sgforums not too long ago, where posters started debating on the real life military mission that the movie "Black Hawk Down" was based on. Tried finding the thread but don't know where it went. Even though some of the posters got really pissed with each other, they continued to debate very fierecely about the main topic and although unfriendly, the thread remained on topic.
I guess there will be differences in opinion and conflict arises, but being personal is a different thing. When people are just calling each other names rather than talking about the main issue, it's just plain stupid name-calling. -

Not all threads are gamish. There are other local forums which handled sex topics and gender-fight topics very well. Because most of them are late twenties onwards.
I personally don't believe in measuring maturity and childishness by age. But haix...
People like 'The Hobbit, Van Ah Seng and family, Sgfamily2005, The legendary Cortez and other jokers around' ain't here for a proper forum discussion. However, they did they're part for stirring up juicy threads to attract attention here. I have to agree it's fun at times.
But there are really times when the thread could have potential development into vital information or allow different perspective to be shared here.
Conclusion:
Let those who want to have fun stay in the fun threads by those 'jokers'
p.s BabyBoy, i think SumOne is not displeased with the mod.
But rather, she/he is displeased with the maturity of participants here.
IT's not the person, it's the attitude given to Bar topics.

Jason does a fine job of drawing a straight line between adminstrator and moderators. He gives them the job, he leaves the decision to them until there is an issue he need to address to. For Example, Cortez's insults.

You're probably unable to see that some people although they make fun, they do give their own ideals. If it's adult-themed, it's going to be about entertainment (sex), so what's wrong with laughing or joking? Are you still Primary 3 that you can't take a joke.
